The Supply Chain Controller manages inventory supply tasks, procurement of feed ingredients, and supplier relationships across multiple locations. They also coordinate load planning, monitor inventory levels, and support the trading division with strategic pricing and supply chain documentation.

Position Summary
The Supply Chain Controller position works closely with our Supply Chain, Quality, Production, Logistics and Customer Service Teams. This full-time position provides support to manage inventory supply tasks for all USA locations.
Location: The preferred work location is Blue Earth, MN, with Fairmont, MN as a secondary option. Remote work may be considered for highly experienced candidates.
Primary Responsibilities:
Procurement of feed ingredients at favorable cost, highest level of quality available and the best supplier service required to ensure we are compliant with our QC procedures.
Maintain existing and develop new supplier contact relationships
Inventory Management across multiple locations factoring in incoming and outgoing orders.
Communicate load planning decisions with receiving freight, customer service and sales departments.
Maintain proper levels of inventory at all locations, ensuring production needs are met and slow-moving inventory is monitored and utilized as efficiently as possible.
Support the Ingredient Trading division with product supply chain needs while assisting in identifying additional products and customers that could be added to aid in the strategic growth plans of this division.
Assist the Trading division by determining forward contracted pricing and forward contracted quantities that are available for trading vs available for production.
Management of all supply chain documentation from supplier quotes, purchase order, delivery verification, supplier invoices, etc.
Assist with determining what monthly/weekly ingredient costs should be sent to the pricing department.
Work with QC Department to ensure suppliers and inventory items are properly documented through our approval process.
Work with QC Department and suppliers on notifications of non-conforming product received at our locations.
Any other tasks directly or indirectly related to inventory supply chain requirements.

Requirements
Qualifying Skills & Attributes:
Customer service experience and ability to make key decisions regarding shipments
Knowledge of feed, feed ingredients, feed supplements and basic animal nutrition
Experience dealing with vendors and customers, as well as supply chain experience, is preferred
Exceptional time management, positive communication skills, self-motivation, desire to work as part of a team and extreme attention to detail
Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced team environment
