The Service Release and Acquiition Superviosr is responsible for the supervision of projects, and relationships, in connection to the transferring of residential mortgage servicing rights.  Project management and coordination of activities related to Carrington’s role/responsibility as the transferring servicer or the receiving servicer.   Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.  The target pay range for this position is $75,000.00/yr -$85,000.00/yr plus bonus.

What you’ll do:

  • Carries out Supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Ensure CMS policies and procedures are followed, as well as ensuring the acquisition or service release project plans are in compliance with executed contracts related to the servicing transfers.
  • Monitor all service transfer activities and processes for acquisitions to ensure quality and timely boarding of the loans into the servicing system.

  • Work with current servicer to facilitate a smooth transfer of information necessary to continue loan servicing. 

  • Ensure knowledge of, and compliance with, all current state and federal regulations involving the servicing of loans.

  • Supervise pipeline activities and the onboarding of loans to define controllable/uncontrollable issues requiring operational and training enhancements and/or individual coaching. 

  • Ensure the appropriate control environment is in place with applicable reporting at the individual and department level. 

  • Maintain open lines of communication with clients, vendors and internal business partners.

  • Partner with executive management in the development of departmental policies and procedures.

  • Establish and maintain department workflow with Managers. 

  • Partner with senior and executive management to establish training guidelines and, identify and implement quality and productivity improvements within the Acquisition and Service Release department. 

  • Ensure that all policies and procedures, and training materials are defined and validated annually.

  • Ensure excellent customer service is provided to both internal and external customers by Acquisition and Service Release staff. 

  • Ensure that staff adhere to established servicing best practices as appropriate. 

  • Thorough knowledge of loan servicing best practices and loan transfers

  • Strong knowledge of relevant and industry-specific computer software packages at an intermediate level including FiServ/LoanServ, LenStar, New Invoice, and Equator.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of excel

  • Excellent negotiation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with Senior Management as an advisor on projects, and to act as the company’s principal spokesperson in area of expertise

  • Ability to make decisions that have significant impact on the department’s credibility, operations, and services

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on a long-term basis

  • Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and/or to develop forecasts and computer models

  • Ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals, publications of limited scope or impact, etc., and to make presentations outside the immediate work area
