Subject Matter Expert – Linux & Virtualisation

Manning Global, an Internationally renowned staffing and managed services organization specializing in providing staffing solutions for leading corporations in AI, IT & Telecoms, Engineering, Digital Media, Automotive and Renewable Energy is recruiting for Subject Matter Expert – Linux & Virtualisation on behalf of one of their blue-chip international clients to join their organization in the India.

About the Role

Client is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Linux and virtualisation technologies to support enterprise infrastructure modernisation engagements. You will bring deep expertise in hypervisor technologies, software-defined infrastructure, and Linux platform engineering to help clients migrate from legacy virtualised environments to modern, cloud-native architectures. This role is central to Clients infrastructure transformation practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement virtualisation solutions using KVM, VMware, or Red Hat Virtualisation for enterprise client environments.
  

• Lead infrastructure modernisation projects, migrating workloads from legacy hypervisors to containerised or cloud-native platforms.
  

• Provide expert Linux system administration across RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu environments, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  

• Design and implement software-defined networking and storage solutions that support enterprise data and AI workloads.
  

• Develop automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code solutions to streamline provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
  

• Conduct capacity planning and infrastructure sizing assessments for data platform and AI workload deployments.
  

• Ensure all infrastructure meets enterprise security, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) requirements.
  

Experience/Qualifications: 

• Extensive experience with enterprise hypervisors: KVM, VMware, and Red Hat Virtualisation.
  

• Experience 10 plus years.
  

• Advanced Linux Administration skills across multiple distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  

• Proven experience designing and implementing Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Software-Defined Storage (SDS).
  

• Proficiency in automation and configuration management using Ansible and Terraform.
  

• Deep understanding of High Availability (HA) architectures and disaster recovery planning.
  

• Experience leading complex infrastructure migration and modernization projects.
