TITLE: Senior Technical Program Manager – AI Delivery & Operations
The Senior Technical Program Manager – AI Delivery & Operations leads the coordinated delivery of complex software and AI-enabled product initiatives across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams. The role is responsible for establishing delivery structure, managing dependencies and operational risks, supporting release readiness, and driving continuous improvement across product development operations. This position partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, Data, Security, and business stakeholders to support the effective execution and operational adoption of AI-enabled capabilities and delivery practices. The role exercises substantial independent judgment in program execution, operational planning, prioritization, and team leadership while operating within established organizational and functional objectives.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Lead delivery planning and execution across multiple concurrent software and AI-enabled product initiatives, including management of timelines, dependencies, risks, and operational readiness activities.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across Product Management, Engineering, Data, Security, Legal, Support, and business stakeholders to support successful delivery outcomes.
Establish and maintain delivery governance practices, operational cadences, reporting standards, and program communication processes across assigned initiatives.
Monitor program health indicators, delivery progress, operational risks, and release readiness activities; escalate issues and recommend mitigation strategies as appropriate.
Support implementation and continuous improvement of agile and product delivery practices appropriate to team maturity, operational complexity, and organizational objectives.
Partner with technical teams to translate architecture discussions, system dependencies, and implementation considerations into executable delivery plans and operational milestones.
Coordinate release readiness activities for AI-enabled products and capabilities, including deployment planning, operational support preparation, documentation alignment, and stakeholder communication.
Support operational adoption of AI-enabled development practices, tooling, and workflow improvements intended to improve delivery effectiveness and engineering efficiency.
Contribute to the refinement and execution of operational processes supporting AI lifecycle management, governance checkpoints, and production readiness activities.
Collaborate with engineering and data teams to support operational visibility into AI-related delivery metrics, technical dependencies, usage trends, and implementation risks.
Identify process inefficiencies, workflow gaps, and cross-functional coordination challenges; recommend and implement operational improvements to enhance delivery effectiveness.
Provide technical leadership, delivery guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing across teams and stakeholders within assigned areas of responsibility.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent additional years of relevant professional experience.
8+ years of experience in technical program management, software delivery management, agile delivery leadership, or related operational leadership roles.
Experience leading complex cross-functional software delivery initiatives across distributed or global teams.
Experience working with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, agile delivery practices, and product development operations.
PREFERRED:
Experience supporting delivery of AI-enabled products, machine learning initiatives, data-intensive platforms, or workflow automation capabilities.
Familiarity with Knowledge Graph concepts, ontology frameworks, and LLM-enabled product capabilities.
Experience working alongside engineering, data engineering, machine learning engineering, or data science teams in a delivery coordination capacity.
Familiarity with cloud-based development environments, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and distributed systems concepts.
Experience supporting operational governance, delivery reporting, or process improvement initiatives within product development organizations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:
Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, agile delivery principles, and product development operational practices.
Knowledge of cross-functional program coordination techniques, delivery governance practices, and operational reporting processes.
Knowledge of AI and machine learning product development concepts, including deployment, monitoring, and operational lifecycle considerations.
Knowledge of AI-enabled software delivery practices, including model deployment considerations, workflow automation, and AI-assisted development tooling.
Knowledge of delivery management tools and collaboration platforms such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft 365 applications.
Skill in managing multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
Skill in facilitating collaboration and communication across technical, operational, and business-focused teams.
Skill in identifying operational risks, process gaps, and dependency conflicts and implementing corrective actions.
Skill in interpreting technical implementation discussions and translating them into structured delivery activities and operational plans.
Skill in supporting release coordination, deployment readiness, and operational transition activities.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize work within established organizational objectives and operational frameworks.
Ability to provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance in dynamic and evolving delivery environments.
Ability to analyze operational data, delivery metrics, and workflow effectiveness to support continuous improvement efforts.
Ability to adapt to changing technologies, evolving operational requirements, and shifting business priorities.
Ability to work effectively across geographically distributed teams and multicultural working environments.

The expected salary range for this position is between $132,400 and $165,000 CAD, which reflects a good-faith estimate of the compensation range Duck Creek Technologies would expect to pay for this role at the time of posting.
Actual compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable provincial laws.
This position may also be eligible for annual bonus compensation, subject to plan terms and individual eligibility.
