The Network Security product at Target is responsible for protecting and enabling the secure flow of traffic across a large, complex enterprise environment. The team focuses on delivering strong security outcomes while maintaining a seamless user experience and high system availability. This includes modernizing core network security platforms, improving secure access capabilities, and strengthening how security integrates with engineering and business teams. The product also drives operational excellence through better visibility, automation, and clear decision frameworks, while partnering closely across the organization to ensure security scales effectively with Target’s technology and business needs. 

 

In this role, you will partner with engineers, architects, and cybersecurity experts to advance key initiatives that strengthen Target’s security posture while enabling business growth. You’ll define priorities, align stakeholders, evaluate opportunities to improve customer and team member experiences, and drive the modernization of critical network security capabilities. Along the way, you’ll translate complex technical challenges into clear product outcomes, ensuring teams remain focused on delivering secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. 

 

As a Senior Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product You will need to leverage the knowledge of your product, as well as customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, architecture, and business partners to deliver a product. 

You will be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.  

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours. 

 

About you:  

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years of product management experience with Network Security or adjacent (e.g. Security, Infrastructure) domain knowledge 

  • Product strategy development & implementation for platform products

  • Comfort operating in evolving, high-complexity spaces

  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams 

  • Ability to lead a body of work with cross functional partners 

  • Technical aptitude

  • Experience working in an agile environment

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs.  A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.  A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
