Sr. Graphic Designer

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Graphics Designer is responsible for designing daily SAS marketing pieces requested by the sales and Ammex staff. This includes designing flyers, glove charts, and chem charts, as well as order and sample request forms. Projects also include the design and copy writing of specialized mailing enveloped, house flyers, and other projects for clients or in house use. This position also requires the completion of occasional stand-alone writing assignments and development of promotional copy that informs customers about AMMEX and our products, while positively influencing their purchasing decisions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Develop creative concepts and design visuals for marketing and promotional materials.

· Ensure designs align with the brand's visual identity.

· Arrange elements for visual appeal, balance, and readability.

· Apply color theory principles for compelling color schemes.

· Follow fundamental design principles for visual coherence.

· Utilize graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite).

· Optimize designs for print and digital platforms.

· Ability and experience with video format.

· Perform quality checks on resolution, format, and color accuracy.

· Possess a fundamental understanding of print production processes.

· Be a resource for the team, providing guidance as needed on graphic design tasks, refining projects and drafts, and generating creative ideas.

· Be a creative thought leader, generating fresh design concepts to share with the team.

· Collaborate with junior designer on their drafts to support quality productions and output from the team.

· Communicate design concepts and ideas effectively.

· Interact with internal clients to understand project vision and requirements.

· Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.

· Run multiple design projects concurrently.

· Maintain organized project files and documentation.

· Adapt to evolving project requirements and tackle design challenges.

· Stay updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.

· Act upon constructive feedback and criticism to improve design quality.

· Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• 8+ years’ of directly related professional experience in graphic design.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic designing, web designing or a related field preferred.

• Portfolio of graphic and web design projects, showcasing digital web and banner, packaging, ads, flyers, etc.
• Extensive knowledge of graphic design, styles, and techniques.
• Experience with video format.
• Exposure to email sending/management programs.

• Familiarity with website development languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Competency in handling content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
• Experience with responsive design, UI/UX interface designs and user experience design principles.

• Experience in implementing marketing campaigns.
• Knowledge and experience in print production.

• A keen eye for visual details and quality control.

• Working experience with image design tools including:

• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe InDesign
• Adobe Dimension
• Adobe Lightroom
• Adobe Dreamweaver

• Requires the ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and creatively develop processes to aid efficiency and effectiveness.
• Must have initiative, be resourceful, able to work independently without a lot of guidance.
• Must be able to effectively prioritize, manage time and projects, and multi-task in a fast paced, growing company environment.
• Requires fluency in English with good verbal and written skills.
• Must be able to effectively collaborate with all levels of management and staff in a diverse, global environment.
• Must be proficient in the MS Office Suite of software.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Power BI experience preferred.
