Summary:
The Sr. Financial Analyst plays a strategic role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. This position leads the design, development, and optimization of financial reporting and analytics using advanced BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, SQL (SSMS), Tableau, and Excel. The Sr. Financial Analyst partners closely with senior leadership to deliver actionable insights, improve revenue cycle performance, and influence business strategy. This role requires a high level of autonomy, critical thinking, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful financial and operational recommendations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and governance of enterprise-level financial reporting and analytics, leveraging AI and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL) to deliver scalable, automated, and actionable insights
- Own and enhance monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes, including oversight of revenue cycle analytics supporting, audits, financial close, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
- Drive in-depth financial and operational analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and presenting clear information to department leadership
- Act as a strategic business partner to Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership, providing insights that directly influence decision-making and performance improvement initiatives
- Lead KPI framework development and performance monitoring for revenue cycle functions; proactively identify drivers of performance variance and works with Revenue Cycle Manager to recommend corrective actions
- Develop a methodology to ensure payor compliance with our pharmacy reimbursement and ongoing oversight of the process
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and special projects, including process improvement, automation, and system enhancement efforts
- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively through executive-ready presentations, dashboards, and written summaries
- Continuously evaluate and implement process improvements, including automation and AI-driven insights, to enhance efficiency and scalability of financial analytics

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in healthcare or pharmacy benefits.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Microsoft SQL experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of revenue cycle processes and healthcare finance is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
This position is in both a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer and in an external environment where travel is required. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients. Minimal travel could be required.
