About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Director, Product Manager to lead MoneyGram Balance, our stablecoin-powered digital wallet. This is a senior Product Management role that owns the vision, strategy, and end-to-end delivery of a product that is changing how MoneyGram customers hold, receive, spend, and send money across borders.

You will own every dimension of the product, and you will be accountable for the full product. Because Balance is a new product at MoneyGram, you will work in close partnership with Marketing on go-to-market, and with Compliance, Legal, Design, and commercial third parties to bring the product to market.

This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the CPTO, with a mandate to build a global product organization over time. You will hire and develop a team of Product Managers based in key markets such as LATAM, Africa, and APAC, who will report to you as the product scales.

Where the Product Is Today

Balance and the receiver experience already have real momentum. In the first half of the year the team rolled the receiver feature out to 150 countries, now engaging over 150,000 receivers each month.

On the Balance side, the team launched US-to-Colombia Balance as a send and payout method, launched El Salvador as a full receive-balance country, signed the card processor agreement, and shipped the first batch of MoneyGram Card experiences to production for Friends and Family testing.

You will inherit this foundation and drive the next phase. Near-term priorities include extending receiver features to every country MoneyGram serves, expanding stored Balance to more LATAM countries, merging the receiver experience into Atlas (our re-platform of the MoneyGram Online application), and launching everyday spend, savings, and rewards on stored balances, including the MoneyGram Card and bank transfers.

What You’ll Own

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Define and own the multi-year vision, strategy, and roadmap for MoneyGram Balance, aligned to company growth objectives and to a fast-moving stablecoin and cross-border payments market.
  • Serve as the senior product leader and internal champion for Balance, building executive alignment and securing investment for a new product.
  • Work closely with the GM of MoneyGram Online, and finance, to manage the P&L for the product, balancing customer value, unit economics, and long-term platform extensibility.

Receiver Experience

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for the receiver experience, making it easy for recipients to access, hold, and use funds sent to their MoneyGram Balance.
  • Extend receiver features to every country MoneyGram serves, building on the current footprint of 150 countries and more than 150,000 monthly receivers.
  • Lead the merge of the receiver experience into Atlas, consolidating onto a single, extensible platform.
  • Continue to deepen engagement through new features such as bi-directional messaging

Stored Balance & Everyday Money

  • Expand stored Balance across markets, with a near-term priority of LATAM countries, building on the US-to-Colombia and El Salvador launches.
  • Launch everyday spend, savings, and rewards on stored balances so customers hold and use their Balance beyond receiving a transfer.
  • Own the connection between stored balances and everyday payments, including the MoneyGram Card and bank transfers.

Stablecoin-Connected Card

  • Lead the definition, delivery, and scaling of the stablecoin-connected MoneyGram Card, building on the first experiences shipped to Friends and Family testing.
  • Own the end-to-end card experience, including issuance, funding, spend controls, and the link between stablecoin balances and everyday spend.
  • Manage relationships with card issuers, networks, program managers, and stablecoin partners such as Rain, along with the other commercial third parties critical to delivery.

Cross-Functional Delivery

  • Be accountable for all aspects of the product, working closely with Compliance and Legal to navigate licensing, AML and KYC, and stablecoin regulatory requirements across markets.
  • Partner with Design to deliver an intuitive, trustworthy experience for customers’ money.
  • Manage commercial third parties, including stablecoin partners, card networks, and banking and payment providers, as core delivery partners.
  • Work closely with Marketing on go-to-market strategy, positioning, launch sequencing, and adoption for a new product.

Team & Global Scale

  • Build and lead a global product team over time, hiring and developing Product Managers located in key markets such as LATAM, Africa, and APAC.
  • Set the operating model, standards, and ways of working for a distributed product organization spanning multiple regions and time zones.

What You Bring

  • 12 or more years of product management experience, including significant time leading fintech, payments, wallet, card, or crypto and stablecoin products.
  • A track record of taking new products from concept to launch and scale, ideally in regulated financial services.
  • Experience managing and growing product teams, including managers or senior individual contributors, ideally across geographies.
  • Strong experience working with Compliance, Legal, and Risk on regulated products, treating regulation as a design constraint to work within.
  • Commercial acumen and hands-on experience managing third-party partners such as card networks, issuers, and stablecoin or banking providers.
  • A close working relationship with Marketing on go-to-market, with an understanding that launching a new product depends as much on adoption as on build.
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to align leadership and bring cross-functional teams together.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, with the judgment to know when to test and when to scale.

We’re looking for a product leader who can:

  • Set a clear vision for a new product and bring the organization along.
  • Operate end-to-end, from regulatory strategy and partner negotiations to customer experience details.
  • Build structure and a high-performing global team where none exists yet.
  • Drive measurable adoption and business outcomes while building durable product foundations.
  • Earn trust across leadership, Compliance, Legal, Design, Marketing, and commercial partners through clarity, ownership, and transparency.
