Sr. Data Steward

Role Overview:
We are looking for Data Stewards to support data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives in a banking environment. The role focuses on strengthening regulatory reporting processes, resolving data quality issues, maintaining business glossaries, implementing data quality controls, and contributing to BCBS239-related activities, including data lineage definition

Key Responsibilities:

• Support data governance and data management activities across regulatory reporting processes

• Identify, analyze, and help resolve data quality issues

• Maintain and improve business glossaries and data definitions

• Implement and monitor data quality controls

• Define and document data lineage across relevant systems and reporting flows

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements

• Contribute to compliance with BCBS239 and internal data governance standards

Must-Have Requirements:

• Experience in data governance, data management, or similar roles

• Experience in the banking or financial services industry

• Strong SQL skills

• Strong data analysis capabilities

• Understanding of data warehousing and reporting

• Knowledge of database structures

• Experience with MS Office, JIRA, and Confluence

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements

• Excellent communication skills

• Fluent English, written and spoken

Nice to Have:

• Experience with regulatory reporting

• Knowledge of BCBS239

• Business knowledge of banking products, systems, and processes

• Experience with data lineage frameworks
