Sr. Data Engineer

Job Description:

As a Sr. Data Engineer at LPT Realty, you will be responsible for the implementation of data solutions that support critical business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with technical and non-technical resources to develop scalable data architecture, maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, and drive data governance. In a cross-functional capacity, you will work with technical teams in optimizing data performance and quality.

Responsibilities:

· Own the data architecture for both operational and analytical data stores

· Manage ETL and ELT pipelines

· Perform SQL query performance tuning in collaboration with engineers

· Maintain database health and integrity

· Maintain an RBAC security model

· Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver operational reports

· Champion data governance

· Support critical systems outside of normal business hours

· Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends

Qualifications:

· Strong, demonstrated experience architecting, building, and supporting right-sized analytical data solutions

· Experience developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL/ELT pipelines

· Experience integrating data from multiple data sources (e.g. RDBMS, REST APIs, flat files, etc.)

· Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)

· Experience administering operational reporting via self-service tools as well as ad hoc support

· Create and maintain data governance documentation (e.g. data dictionaries, catalogs, etc.)

· Familiarity with DataOps practices, including automation and version control

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database is a plus

· Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
