The Advanced Analytics team helps the company make smarter, more informed decisions with data. In this role, you will contribute to the analyses and experiments that guide our product, content, monetization choices, and help translate insights into meaningful improvements for the business.

You will partner closely with product, growth marketing, content strategy, finance, and experimentation teams to identify opportunities, design and measure experiments, conduct deepdive analyses, and develop clear recommendations that improve business performance. You are equally comfortable in the details of complex, sometimes messy data and in executivelevel storytelling that influences decisions.

The ideal candidate excels at stakeholder management, can tell a compelling story through data without unnecessary jargon, and enjoys hunting for the “juicy nugget” that changes a roadmap or strategy. They think broadly about the full ecosystem of the business while executing on multiple work-streams that ladder up to our North Star metrics. They bring a strong analytical toolkit, polished communication skills, and a passion for debugging, troubleshooting, and continuously improving how we use data to operate the business.

The Sr Analyst, Advanced Analytics will report directly to the VP, Enterprise Visualization and Advanced Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders across product, growth marketing, content, and revenue to define and prioritize business problems, clarify success metrics, and translate questions into structured analytical workplans.
  • Design, size, and evaluate experiments (A/B and multivariate) in collaboration with experimentation leads, including hypothesis formulation, metric selection, guardrails, and posttest analysis.
  • Gather and analyze data from multiple sources (e.g., event data in the warehouse, subscription and ad revenue tables, GA4, and other platforms) to uncover insights that inform strategy and drive growth.
  • Conduct complex analyses using SQL (in BigQuery or similar), Python, and spreadsheet tools to explore user behavior, product feature adoption, funnels, retention, LTV, pricing, paywall performance, and content consumption.
  • Build and maintain clear, reliable dashboards and decision tools in enterprise BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker) that enable selfservice analytics and executive visibility into key metrics.
  • Develop and present concise, visually compelling stories for senior leadership, translating analytical findings into clear recommendations, tradeoffs, and scenarios.
  • Advocate for and help maintain high standards of data quality, documentation, and metric governance in collaboration with data engineering and semantic layer / data modeling teams.
  • Serve as a thought partner on experimentation and advanced analytics, staying current on new methods, tools, and best practices and bringing them into the team where appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business analytics, product analytics, data analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Advanced SQL skills working directly in a modern cloud data warehouse (e.g., BigQuery), including complex joins, window functions, and performanceconscious query design.
  • Handson experience with Python for data analysis, experimentation, or modeling (e.g., pandas, basic statistical libraries).
  • Experience with at least one enterprise BI / data visualization tool (Tableau, Looker, Data Studio or equivalent) building stakeholderfacing dashboards and reports.
  • Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and experiments, including understanding of statistical significance, confidence intervals, and common pitfalls.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate complex analytical work into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for nontechnical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage multiple projects in parallel, and work collaboratively with crossfunctional partners in a fastpaced environment.
  • Comfort using AI and automation tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, and dashboard development, with strong judgment about validation and QA

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with GA4 or similar digital analytics tools and comfort reconciling those with warehouselevel event data.
  • Experience in digital media, subscriptions, or advertising revenue, including familiarity with concepts like churn, ARPU, LTV, and yield optimization. Content or audience analytics experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to or interest in causal inference, uplift modeling, or more advanced experimentation frameworks beyond frequentist A/B tests.
  • Familiarity with semantic layers or modeled metrics (e.g., LookML, AtScale, dbt metrics) and governed metric definitions.
  • Highly driven selfstarter mindset, with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mentality around tools, processes, and documentation.
