Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, execution-oriented Project / Program Manager to support strategic initiatives across US Higher Education (USHE) by leading cross-functional projects that improve business operations, support go-to-market priorities, and enable delivery of transformational initiatives. The ideal candidate brings structure to ambiguity, manages multiple workstreams effectively, and partners across business, technology, and leadership teams to drive initiatives from planning through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end program delivery for high-priority, cross-functional initiatives, setting clear objectives, milestones, and outcomes.
- Apply structured problem‑solving to resolve delivery issues and proactive risk management to deliver outcomes in a fast‑paced environment.
- Partner with leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Enablement, HR, Analytics, and Technology to align scope, sequencing, and resourcing.
- Establish strong governance and accountability by defining owners, decision cadences, success metrics, and follow-through mechanisms.
- Drive execution discipline by proactively managing risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and escalations to keep programs on track.
- Communicate program health and decisions with concise, executive-ready updates that enable timely action.
- Design and apply AI tools to streamline planning and delivery workflows, including status reporting, meeting summaries, action tracking, and process documentation.
- Support development of tools, templates, and operating rhythms that improve consistency and execution quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, program coordination, operations, consulting, or a related role.
- Strong experience with program management, process improvement, change enablement, and cross-functional collaboration.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently and deliver results
- Proven experience supporting cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to create executive-ready materials and facilitate working sessions.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by factors including skill set, experience, and location.
The full-time salary range for this role is $100,000 – $115,000 annually.
