Solutions Consultant — Benelux
Department: Sales EMEA
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Netherlands
Reporting To: Director of Solutions & Customer Success
Description
At Factbird, we help manufacturers see what is really happening on their lines — so they can make better, faster decisions. Our plug-and-play hardware and cloud platform turn live production data into clear, actionable insights, and we are scaling fast across sites, teams, and countries.
As we grow our commercial and customer success motion across Europe, we are looking for a Solutions Consultant who can sit at the intersection of operations, consulting, and technology. Someone who has been on the shop floor, understands what plant managers and CI leaders deal with every day, and knows how to translate that knowledge into compelling, results-driven solutions for our customers.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Solutions & Customer Success, the Solutions Consultant — Benelux is a critical bridge between our sales and customer success teams. You will work directly with prospective and existing customers to understand their operational challenges, conduct on-site assessments, build the business case for Factbird's solutions, and ensure that customers achieve measurable value from day one.
This is a senior, business-focused position. We are not looking for a technical pre-sales engineer — we are looking for someone who has led operations, driven continuous improvement programs, and knows how to influence a room of plant managers, CI leads, and senior executives with credibility that comes from having done the work themselves.
This is a full-time, remote position requiring travel across Benelux — up to 75% during peak periods. Fluency in Dutch is required; German and/or French are a strong advantage.
The Ideal Background
- Former plant manager or operations leader with hands-on experience running production environments
- Continuous Improvement or Lean/Six Sigma lead who has driven cultural and operational change on the floor
- Operations consultant — with a track record of delivering measurable outcomes for manufacturing clients
What these profiles have in common: they have been in the room with operators and plant directors alike, they understand the language of OEE, downtime, throughput, and quality, and they know how to build a business case that holds up to financial scrutiny.
What You'll Do
- Partner with account executives to understand client challenges, operational objectives, and strategic goals — and translate these into tailored Factbird solutions
- Lead on-site and remote assessments and process analyses for prospective customers, identifying areas where Factbird can drive measurable improvement
- Deliver engaging, solution-focused demonstrations and presentations that clearly articulate Factbird's value proposition to both operational and executive audiences
- Rapidly build compelling business cases — ROI models, cashflow projections, and breakeven analyses — anchored in real operational impact, not feature lists
- Deploy and coach customers on Factbird's software during the trial period to increase trial-to-conversion rates
- Own the assessment-to-proposal narrative, align stakeholders on success criteria, and reduce deal risk with clear value confirmation
- Collaborate with customer success teams to ensure seamless onboarding, adoption, and long-term value realisation
- Build trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders — from frontline operators to senior plant leadership
- Act as the bridge between sales, technical, and product teams, serving as a custodian of solution standards across the organisation
- Continuously develop expertise in manufacturing best practices, productivity methodologies, and Benelux industry-specific requirements
How Success Is Measured
- Prove Value to Won % — conversion of prove-value and validation activities into closed-won outcomes
- Team Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) contribution
About you
- 5+ years in a manufacturing operations, CI coaching, operations consulting, or solutions consulting role
- Fluency in Dutch and English — written and spoken — is required
- Proven track record of driving behavioral and cultural change in manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of production KPIs — OEE, downtime, throughput, quality, and related metrics
- Demonstrated experience building business cases and ROI models for operational improvement initiatives
- Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
- Comfort working with digital systems, dashboards, and analytics tools
- Experience as a plant manager, CI lead, or operations consultant is strongly preferred
- BA or BS in a relevant field — Engineering, Manufacturing, Organisational Leadership, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management
