About This Role

Hyland is looking for a skilled and collaborative Solution Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering professional solutions to business stakeholders by translating business process requirements into technical solutions through design, implementation, testing, and training. You will partner closely with key stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure the solutions you build are performant, secure, and well-documented. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

  • Design, prototype, and build business solutions following best practices to meet business needs based on feedback from stakeholders; safeguard the security, integrity, and confidentiality of internal systems and data by following company security protocols.
  • Test business solutions and ensure performance is as designed; identify and resolve any issues to ensure a high-quality delivery.
  • Document solutions to allow the support team to effectively assist business customers and ensure easy ongoing maintenance; transition key information to the support team.
  • Perform business analysis to assist in gathering information about business processes and customer needs from key stakeholders; compose documentation and presentations of business analysis and solution requirements for validation and approval.
  • Develop a plan for migration of business solutions into environments and support stakeholders throughout the migration process with minimal guidance.
  • Compose training materials and conduct training sessions for end users with minimal guidance; identify enhancements and processes to evolve product and/or solution functionality.

Role Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; proven experience configuring and implementing technical solutions; experience with assigned business applications.
  • Good oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact; good collaboration skills applied successfully within a team as well as across other areas.
  • Good problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills; adept at investigating situations and asking probing questions to obtain quality information and surface relevant insights.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server; good knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Apex, or Python; good knowledge of business analysis and documenting functional requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, timelines, and customer expectations; ability to effectively manage a consistent customer-oriented project workload; up to 5% travel time required.

What We'd Like to See (Preferred Skills)

  • Experience with business process analysis and documenting functional requirements in complex enterprise environments; familiarity with solution design methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with migration planning and deployment processes; experience supporting stakeholders through system transitions with minimal disruption.
  • Experience developing and delivering end-user training materials and sessions; ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple concurrent customer-oriented projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, or GCP); experience with additional object-oriented programming languages or enterprise application frameworks.
