Summaryof Responsibilities
TheIdaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW) requires a Software QualityAssurance Analyst 3 (SQAA3) to build and support automated testing frameworksand tests that will be used to verify that programs function according to userrequirements and conform to established standards. The Software QualityAssurance Analyst will build (write code) and support automated testing, with aspecific emphasis on the creation, execution, and management of automated testsacross all levels of testing, including unit, functional, integration, useracceptance, and Production deployment validation testing. IDHW seeks acandidate with demonstrated skills and experience in building automated testingframeworks. The candidate needs to have experience and expertise in creatingtest plans and test scripts from the customer’s perspective to ensure thatautomation delivers the intended results and satisfies the specified businessrequirements. They will build automation to meet the technical needs ofreusability, sustainability, and open standards, and to maximize the return onthe investment in automation.
Weare seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with strong experience in softwaretesting and a growing focus on AI-driven quality practices. This role combinestraditional QA disciplines with modern AI/ML testing strategies, includingvalidating AI models, automating test flows with AI-assisted tooling, andimproving product quality using intelligent test frameworks.
Thisproject is being developed using the Scrum (Agile) development methodology. Thecandidate should have demonstrated experience with executing and managingautomated testing in an Agile development environment.
Key Responsibilities
Theperson filling this position should have the ability to do the followingassignments:
·Develop, update, and maintain testingstandards and procedures.
·Use AI-driven tooling to improve testcoverage, defect detection, and regression reliability.
·Understand test plans, test scripts, testcases, and links that connect to requirements and done criteria.
·Manage Test Case Repository and maintain testcases up to date.
·Participate in collaborative working sessionsto develop test plans and test criteria.
·Design an automation framework using SeleniumWebDriver, Java, and Jenkins infrastructure.
·Be responsible for maintaining the automationframework and regression test suites.
·Be responsible for the planning and controlof test environments.
·Analyze and interact with complex sets ofautomated test assets and provide insights into alternatives or improvements totest systems, test framework components, test databases, and test servers.
·Provide solutions and recommendations for theexecution of automated tests and troubleshoot test failures.
·Provide a user-friendly reporting frameworkfor the automated test results in the areas of QA, UAT, Business, and ITManagement.
·Identifies and tracks system defects.Performs root cause analysis of the defects and works with the development team to resolve them.
· Partners with other QA's and architects to develop and establish quality assurance standards and best practices
· Performs and coordinates system verification and validation test activities utilizing various tools
· Performs quality assurance testing activities to ensure the applications, products, and/or releases follow the Quality Assurance standards of the organization
Experience:
·Integrating automated testing processes,solving complex quality assurance data-processing problems, and designing andimplementing test automation frameworks.
