In this role, you will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and development through testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Software Development & Delivery
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software solutions throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable software that meets business requirements and user story acceptance criteria.
- Contribute to solution design and technical discussions to support scalable and effective business solutions.
- Refactor and enhance existing applications to improve quality, reliability, maintainability, and performance.
- Execute manual and automated testing to ensure software quality and stability.
- Deploy software enhancements and new functionality following established development and release processes.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues while supporting production systems and customer needs.
- Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation, including design documentation and knowledge resources.
- Take ownership of assigned features and modules from concept through implementation and ongoing support.
- Provide support for business-critical processes, including resolution of issues related to scheduled and nightly system operations.
Agile Collaboration
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and team discussions.
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to clarify requirements and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Estimate development efforts and provide realistic timelines for deliverables.
- Collaborate with teammates to improve development practices, engineering standards, and team effectiveness.
- Support DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices that improve application quality and deployment efficiency.
Learning & Continuous Improvement
- Build and maintain knowledge of business processes and system functionality within assigned areas.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, development tools, and industry trends.
- Expand technical knowledge across multiple systems and technologies to support team success and organizational goals.
Mentorship & Team Contribution
- Participate in code reviews and promote adherence to coding standards and quality expectations.
- Share knowledge with team members through collaboration, peer reviews, and mentoring opportunities.
- Help support the development of junior engineers through guidance, feedback, and best-practice discussions.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Licenses
- Current and valid driver's license required.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on software development experience.
