The team operates within the Zero Trust Security Group, developing advanced security solutions for Akamai enterprise customers. Collaboration spans development, QA, DevOps, product, support, and sales engineering. Efforts center on delivering secure, high-quality products, enhancing security features, and ensuring reliable customer protection.

Partner with the best

As a Software Engineer II, develop and maintain cloud services and web applications following FedRAMP standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions. Ensure coding standards are met, conduct code reviews, and contribute to technical designs. Enhance the software development lifecycle by resolving issues and implementing innovative solutions to support organizational objectives effectively.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Developing new products and enhancing our Zero Trust solution with new features.
• Designing, developing, validating, maintaining, releasing, and operating NodeJS, Python and/or Golang based backend services.
• Reviewing and maintaining technical documents related to requirements, design, and architecture.
• Taking full ownership of your areas of work from design to deployment.
• Participating in technical meetings and bringing innovation into every solution shipped
• Navigating and resolving complex challenges with ownership

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Demonstrate experience developing backend applications utilizing Python or Golang.
• Have a solid understanding of microservices architecture, scalable system design, and RESTful APIs, with hands-on experience in Kubernetes
• Have experience with Azure/AWS/GCP or other cloud-based development and high scale systems
