WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- Work within a fast-paced development environment backed by a solid SDLC, including branching, pull requests, CI, and QA
- Apply SOLID principles, TDD, best practices, and software craftsmanship in daily work
- Participate in daily stand-ups across New York and Los Angeles, pair programming, and collaboration
- Complete an extensive onboarding covering company context, technologies, architecture, and practices
- Access continued online learning via platforms like Pluralsight
- Work with managers who are all former engineers
- Work with a fully responsive single-page application (SPA) powered by a RESTful API
- Contribute to a tech stack that is constantly evolving
- Use code analysis tooling to monitor and address technical debt consistently and accurately
WHO YOU ARE
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Brilliance and passion for software craftsmanship
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- A sense of humor and a friendly personality
- Professionalism and maturity
- Solid work ethic, tenacity, and enthusiasm for technical challenges
- Experience in C# or Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, relational databases, and ORM frameworks preferred
- Experience with a commonly used back-end framework (e.g., Rails, Spring, .NET) and front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) preferred
- Unit testing experience preferred
- Well-versed in object-oriented design and development concepts preferred
- Experience in modeling and architecting complicated business domains is a plus
