Engineer

Summary: The QC Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring quality assurance throughout the lifecycle of a solar roof top project, from material receipt to commissioning. This position focuses on maintaining compliance with IS/IEC standards across civil and electrical components, including foundations, structural erection, alignment, cabling, earthing, and testing. The engineer is responsible for rigorous documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and quality reports, while actively participating in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Site visits and cross-functional coordination are essential to verify adherence to quality benchmarks and resolve issues promptly, ensuring project integrity and long-term performance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality inspections and audits from material receipt through commissioning.
  
• Ensure compliance with IS/IEC standards for civil structures (foundations, erection, alignment) and electrical systems (cabling, earthing, testing).
  
• Prepare, review, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and quality status reports.
  
• Lead or support CAPA processes to address quality deviations and prevent recurrence.
  
• Perform regular site visits to monitor workmanship, material quality, and installation practices.
  
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
  

Requirements:

• B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical, Civil, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
  
• Proven experience in quality control within civil or electrical construction projects, preferably in renewable energy or solar projects.
  
• Strong understanding of IS/IEC standards and quality management systems.
  
• Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and CAPA processes.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic site environment.
