About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a versatile Social Media Manager & Video Editor to manage the social media presence of three distinct brands:

  1. A furnished rental and property management business.
  2. An automotive accessories e-commerce business.
  3. A personal brand covering entrepreneurship, lifestyle, fitness, wellness, family, and personal values.

The successful candidate will own the complete social media workflow—from planning and content creation to video editing, publishing, and community engagement. The client would need someone who can understand the different brands while creating a consistent and efficient content process.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently manage multiple social media accounts without requiring constant direction. The Social Media Manager & Video Editor will use existing photos, videos, YouTube content, brand assets, and Canva templates while also helping the client plan and produce new material.

The role requires someone who can shift confidently between different audiences and industries while maintaining the appropriate voice and visual identity for each brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain content strategies for three separate brands.
  • Create organized content calendars aligned with business priorities, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and brand objectives.
  • Produce a consistent mix of Reels, short-form videos, static graphics, carousels, stories, and other social media content.
  • Edit property walkthroughs, product footage, educational videos, lifestyle content, and behind-the-scenes material.
  • Add music, effects, captions, transitions, and other elements that improve the quality and engagement of short-form videos.
  • Repurpose existing raw footage and longer YouTube videos into platform-appropriate social media content.
  • Create branded graphics and social media posts using Canva or similar design tools.
  • Schedule and publish content consistently across the relevant social media platforms.
  • Write engaging captions and calls to action appropriate to each audience.
  • Manage comments, direct messages, and other community interactions.
  • Monitor the social media inboxes and ensure questions or opportunities are responded to or escalated appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the e-commerce store manager to align organic social media content with promotions, product launches, and paid advertising campaigns.
  • Maintain consistency with each brand’s existing guidelines, colours, templates, messaging, and visual identity.
  • Help the client identify new content opportunities and provide guidance on what footage, photos, or information should be captured.
  • Assist with scripting and planning batch-recorded content.
  • Use AI-assisted content or editing tools where appropriate to improve efficiency while maintaining brand quality.

Property Management and Furnished Rentals

  • Guest testimonials, reviews, and social proof.
  • Behind-the-scenes property preparation and management content.
  • Informational content that builds credibility and reassures prospective guests.

Automotive E-commerce

  • Product features and demonstrations.
  • Promotional and seasonal campaigns.
  • Product launches and sales announcements.
  • Content that supports the company’s broader advertising activities.

Personal Brand

  • Entrepreneurship and business ownership.
  • Fitness, wellness, and lifestyle.
  • Family, personal values, and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Authentic material that presents the business owner as a credible and relatable person.

The client specifically wants personal-brand content to show more than business activities and to communicate authenticity, lifestyle, and personal values alongside the professional brands.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience independently managing business social media accounts.
  • Demonstrated experience editing Reels and other short-form video content.
  • Strong Canva or graphic-design skills.
  • Experience creating and maintaining social media content calendars.
  • Ability to manage multiple brands with different audiences, tones, and visual identities.
  • Strong written English and caption-writing ability.
  • Experience responding to comments, direct messages, and community inquiries.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work from existing content while also contributing original ideas.
  • High level of initiative, ownership, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently without waiting for detailed instructions for every post.
  • Portfolio demonstrating social media management, graphic creation, and video-editing work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting e-commerce, automotive, real estate, hospitality, or property management brands.
  • Experience collaborating with paid advertising, e-commerce, or Shopify teams.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted scripting, content generation, or video-editing tools.
  • Experience building or supporting an entrepreneur’s personal brand.
  • Understanding of content performance metrics and the ability to use results to improve future content.
