Job Description:

NDi is looking for an SME Software Asset Management Analyst that serves as the senior technical authority for software asset management, licensing strategy, technology optimization, and compliance initiatives supporting government programs.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • This position is remote, candidate must reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, DC, FL, GA, ID, MD, MS, NJ, NC, OK, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Information Systems, or IT).
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years in software asset support and/or IT service operations.
  • Familiarity with SAM repositories and installation protocols (i.e., license keys, installation files, installations instructions, and product documentation).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting vendor audits, enterprise agreement strategies, and complex compliance scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications relevant to the position.
  • Experience supporting federal government or DoD customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process requests for software, ensure tickets are acknowledged, and provide routine status updates.
  • Perform FAA IT Standards (TPR) conformance checks and route standards-related actions (e.g., ESB requests for TPR inclusion) as required.
  • Submit license evaluation requests to support licensing compliance prior to purchase and/or installation.
  • Coordinate fulfillment, including, but not limited to the following duties:
    • Interface with customers to confirm requirements are well-formed, complete, and aligned to the intended purchase/fulfillment approach.
    • Coordinate with Vendor Managers, CORs, and Product Owners/specialists, as needed.
    • Request vendor quotes, coordinate funding requirements with customers, and enter purchase requests into iViews/ITAR.
    • Assign installation tasks.
    • Collect and document entitlement information in the Software License Information Form (SLIF) and maintain intake artifacts in FAA-designated repositories.
    • Provide SLIF and supporting entitlement documentation to SW Licensing Specialists for authoritative repository/database entry.
    • Track progress through closure.
  • Support FAA's vendor lead (Contracting Officer's Representatives) in duties related to an Enterprise Software agreement and/or large-scale or specialized.
  • Serve as the vendor/technology-specific SME supporting enterprise license posture, agreement strategy, and audit readiness for designated publishers/technologies.
  • Perform enablement activities (e.g., support account setup, access requests, and entitlement changes).
  • Perform outreach with product managers and special initiatives related to technologies.
  • Interpret complex licensing constructs and assess impacts of infrastructure/architecture changes on rightsizing and compliance posture.
  • Validate compliance posture outputs, risk narratives, and liability estimates to support executive decisioning and procurement strategies.
  • Lead deep-dive investigations of potential non-compliance liabilities and cost avoidance opportunities; document defensible positions.
  • Support Government-directed vendor audit response, including validation of vendor claims using authoritative entitlements and approved consumption sources.
  • Support management of vendor offerings and maintain documentation supporting the cost savings/avoidance matrix.
  • Ensure data and analyses support for FITARA/OMB/CIO/FISMA reporting with traceable evidence.
