You will own the end-to-end SEO and organic growth strategy, focusing on diagnosing traffic declines and recovering revenue-generating pages. Additionally, you will manage the content engine, improve AI search visibility, and support broader marketing initiatives like affiliate recruitment.

The Opportunity
FE International and LTV SaaS Growth are hiring on behalf of Quetext, one of our portfolio companies, for a SEO & Organic Growth Specialist.
Quetext is a trusted AI detection and plagiarism checking platform used by millions of students, educators, and writers. Search is changing fast: AI Overviews, LLM-powered answers, and a busy category are reshaping how people find tools like ours.
We're looking for someone to lead Quetext's next stage of organic growth. You'll dig into the data, find the biggest opportunities, and turn organic search into our strongest channel for bringing in paying users. This is a strategy-and-impact role, not a content-volume role. You'll own SEO end to end and support the wider marketing work that drives growth.
What you’ll own
Diagnosis in your first 30 days: Break the decline down by page type, query intent, device and algorithm-update date. Tell us which part is technical, which is content quality, which is lost SERP features and which is falling demand. Show your evidence.
Recovery of the pages that make money: Our tool pages (/plagiarism-checker, /ai-detector, /ai-humanizer and others) are where people pay. You’ll fix their intent match, titles and H1s, depth, internal links and CTA placement.
Content pruning and refreshing: Audit the blog, then consolidate, refresh or remove content that dilutes quality signals. Put a decay-monitoring process in place.
AI search visibility (AEO/GEO): Get Quetext cited in AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini answers for our core categories. Track share of voice there alongside rankings.
Technical SEO: Crawl efficiency, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema, and hygiene for templated and programmatic pages.
Authority: Run a clean link and digital PR program built on original data, such as AI-writing detection studies and academic integrity research. No link schemes.
Measurement: Report weekly on non-brand clicks, tool-page traffic, organic signups and organic revenue. Rankings alone don’t count as a result.
Content ownership: Own the content engine end to end, including the editorial strategy, the calendar, briefs, the writer and freelancer workflow, quality standards, and publishing. Every piece should map to a keyword, a funnel stage and a business goal.
Cannibalization cleanup: Find pages competing for the same queries, especially blog posts undercutting our tool pages, using GSC query-to-URL data and rank tracking. Fix them by consolidating, adding redirects or canonicals, re-targeting, and correcting internal links. Put guardrails in place so new content doesn't create new overlap.
Wider marketing support: Get involved in growth work beyond SEO, such as recruiting and activating affiliates (educators, YouTubers, writing communities and review sites), partner content, and co-marketing. We want someone happy to step outside a narrow SEO job description when there's a growth opportunity.
What success looks like
By day 30: A written diagnosis and a prioritized recovery plan that leadership signs off on, including a cannibalization map of competing URLs,
By day 90: Tool-page fixes shipped, the top cannibalization conflicts resolved, and a content calendar running and first pruning and refresh round done, AI-citation tracking live.
By month 6: Non-brand organic clicks and organic signups back on an upward trend. [Add your target, e.g., “recover X% of peak.”]
By month 12: Organic is Quetext’s most efficient acquisition channel, with a measurable presence in AI answers.
You’re probably a fit if you
Have led a documented traffic recovery on a SaaS or tool site after a core or helpful-content update. We’ll ask you to walk us through it with real numbers.
Think in intent and revenue, not volume. You know why a “free AI detector” query differs from “how do AI detectors work.”
Work fluently in GSC, Ahrefs or Semrush, GA4, and a crawler (Screaming Frog or Sitebulb). Bonus if you can pull GSC data with the API or SQL, or work with regex.
Have a point of view on AI Overviews and LLM citations, backed by experiments you’ve run rather than opinions.
Can brief writers and developers precisely, and can ship changes yourself in WordPress or a similar CMS.
Write clearly and push back with data.
Nice to have
Experience in EdTech, writing tools, or other markets where users are highly price-sensitive and free alternatives are everywhere
Programmatic SEO experience, including knowing when not to use it
Comfort using AI tools in your own workflow without publishing low-quality AI content
Not a fit if
Your main lever is publishing volume or buying links
You haven’t owned outcomes tied to signups or revenue
