The SEO/AEO Lead will define and execute the search strategy to drive developer discovery of the Mem0 product suite across Google and AI answer engines. This role involves running experiments, building the SEO/AEO playbook, and collaborating with founders, engineering, and GTM teams.
We're building the memory layer for AI agents. Think long-term memory that enables AI to remember conversations, learn from interactions, and build context over time. We're already powering millions of AI interactions for enterprise customers and an open-source community of 200,000+ developers. We're a Y Combinator-backed company that has raised a $24M Seed + Series A from top-tier investors..
Every role here is high impact and highly visible. We look for people with drive, curiosity and a builder mindset who want to shape how a fast-growing AI company shows up in the world.
Role
We are looking for a SEO/ AEO Specialist who will own how developers discover the Mem0 product suite such as Mem0 Platform, Open Source and an agentic product on the way, both on Google and inside AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. This is our first dedicated SEO/AEO hire, so you’ll set the strategy across every product line, run the experiments and build the playbook yourself
Location: India (remote)
Works closely with: the founders, engineering and the GTM team
What we’re looking for
5+ years in SEO, with at least 2 years owning strategy at a B2B SaaS, developer tools or AI company.
Strong technical SEO skills, including schema, site audits, Core Web Vitals and working with engineers to ship fixes.
Curiosity about AI search. You’ve started testing how content surfaces in ChatGPT, Perplexity or AI Overviews — even informally — and have a point of view on where it’s heading.
Comfort writing for a technical audience and editing content so it’s clear, accurate and useful to developers.
Fluency with tools like Ahrefs or Semrush, Google Search Console, GA4 and Screaming Frog.
A track record of growing organic traffic or signups that you can walk us through with real numbers.
A builder mindset. You like starting from zero, moving fast and owning outcomes end to end.
Nice to have
Demonstrated AEO or GEO results — you’ve tested how content shows up in AI answers and can show what moved.
Experience marketing an open source project or developer platform.
Basic Python, JavaScript or comfort working in Next.js and Markdown docs sites.
Familiarity with LLMs, RAG or AI agents, enough to talk shop with our engineers.
Experience growing a developer community on GitHub, Reddit, Hacker News or Discord.
Global SEO experience, especially for US audiences.
Velocity with craftsmanship: We build for the long term, not just shipping features. We move fast but never sacrifice reliability or thoughtful design. Every system needs to be fast, reliable, and elegant.
Extreme ownership: Everyone at Mem0 is a builder-owner. If you spot a problem or opportunity, you have the agency to fix it. Titles are light; impact is heavy.
High bar, high trust: We hire for talent and potential, then give people room to run. Code is reviewed, ideas are challenged, and wins are celebrated, always with respect and curiosity.
Data-driven, not ego-driven: The best solution wins, whether it comes from a founder or an engineer who joined yesterday. We let results and metrics guide our decisions.
