Senior Tools Engineer

As a Senior Tools Engineer, you'll be embedded in the client's engineering team, building the editor tools and pipelines that let design, art and narrative teams work faster in Unreal Engine.

The role

• Design, build and maintain custom Unreal Engine editor tools, plugins and utilities

• Improve content pipelines for art, animation, audio and narrative, from import through to build

• Work directly with content teams to understand bottlenecks and turn them into reliable workflows

• Support validation, automation and build tooling to keep a large multiplayer project stable

• Document tools clearly and support users across disciplines

What you'll need

• Shipped credits on at least one successful Action, Adventure or RPG title on console

• Experience on co-op or multiplayer projects

• 5+ years in a tools or engine programming role

• Strong C++ and extensive experience extending Unreal Engine 4 or 5, including editor modules and Slate

• Python scripting experience for pipeline and editor automation

• Comfortable working remotely and independently inside a larger studio team

Nice to have

• Experience with DCC integrations (Maya, Houdini, Substance)

• Familiarity with Perforce and CI/build systems such as Jenkins or TeamCity

• Experience building data validation or asset auditing tools
