MD Finance operates a growing lending platform across five countries, supported by an increasingly complex technology landscape. This role owns the platform as a product, defining its roadmap, priorities, and evolution, while ensuring architectural consistency and long-term scalability.
The primary focus is product ownership: platform strategy, prioritization, and vendor decisions. Architectural governance, including ADRs, integration standards, and data contracts, serves to support those product objectives, not drive them.
Responsibilities:
Platform roadmap & prioritization
- Own one single backlog of platform work, viewed through an architecture lens
- Rank work by impact and urgency relative to effort - explicitly factoring in technical risk, cross-system dependencies, and regulatory pressure (GDPR / DORA / NIS2)
- Translate business needs from 5 markets into platform capabilities
- Spot cross-product dependencies early - before they turn into blockers
Data flow design
- Own how data moves between systems
- Design data contracts (what fields, what format, what versioning rules)
- Define data-lineage standards for every cross-system integration
- Ensure data-residency rules are respected in every market
Solution design & integration ownership
- Design integration patterns: API contracts, event-driven vs. polling trade-offs, schema versioning, idempotency
- Keep a live integration map that actually matches production
- Set architectural guard rails for new integrations - and enforce them
Expected results:
- Full takeover of platform-product ownership: a single prioritized platform backlog, established and operational, replacing today's fragmented backlog ownership across teams.
- Measurable platform improvement against a baseline: initiatives that reduce cross-product blockers and integration-rework incidents, and accelerate time-to-deliver for new market-driven capabilities.
- A technical-product governance layer in active use: a live integration map that matches production, a data-contract registry covering every cross-system integration (fields, format, versioning, duplicate-prevention, data-residency), an operational ADR process for architectural decisions, and a vendor-assessment framework - bringing the platform's architecture, documentation, and integration standards in line with industry best practices.
Requirements:
- 6+ years in a Solution Architect role, or as a Tech Lead with significant product-ownership responsibilities, within fintech or another regulated international industry.
- Proven hands-on experience designing system architecture and data flows - including APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integrations across multiple systems.
- Experience leading or actively contributing to Architectural Decision Record (ADR) processes.
- Experience evaluating and selecting vendors based on technical and architectural criteria.
- Working knowledge of GDPR, DORA, and NIS2, and their impact on platform and integration design.
- English B2.
Nice to have:
- Data platform / DWH product ownership
- Experience operating across multiple regulatory jurisdictions
What We Offer:

- Enjoy 20 paid days off annually, flexible scheduling, and a supportive, people-first culture.
