We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Golang to join our engineering team and build scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Golang, concurrency, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems, along with hands-on experience designing and developing reliable microservices in a product-based environment.

In this role, you will take ownership of features end-to-end, contribute to architectural and system design decisions, and work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust, scalable solutions that support high-volume messaging and e-commerce workloads.

What you'll be responsible for: 

• Play a key role in architectural decisions, translating business requirements into a stable, high-performance, and efficient distributed microservices architecture.
• Apply deep knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and space/time complexity to build memory-efficient, event-driven components capable of handling mass messaging and e-commerce scales.
• Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable backend code with a primary focus on Golang, supplemented by Python workflows.
• Drive high standards of product quality by analyzing code and conducting rigorous peer reviews to ensure timely project delivery and marked application improvements.
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and coordinate seamlessly with the deployment team to streamline CI/CD code deployment.
• Write clean, readable code and document technical specifications (including effective Godoc comments and API schemas).

What you'll bring to Maropost:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a highly relevant field.
• 10 years of professional backend software development experience within an Agile/SCRUM team environment.
• Experience working in a product-based engineering environment, dealing with microservices, scalable distributed infrastructure, and event-driven paradigms.
• Deep, production-level knowledge of the Go programming language, paradigms, constructs, idioms, and common Goroutine and channel patterns.
• Go Frameworks & Ecosystem: Proven experience with: Popular Go web frameworks (e.g., Revel, Gin, Echo) and router packages like Gorilla Mux.
  • Go’s templating language and code generation tools (e.g., Stringer).
  • Go dependency management workflows.
• Hands-on engineering experience using Python for asynchronous backend scripting, services, or data utilities.
• Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL environments.
• A strong problem-solving attitude with the ability to work completely independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
• Exposure to or experience with Ruby on Rails is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
