Senior Software Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW:
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Technology team and help keep our internal platforms, tooling, and frameworks healthy, maintainable, and ready as the company grows. You'll have a lot of autonomy. You'll strengthen engineering continuity across the systems we rely on day to day, bring solid experience with the Azure cloud stack, and help us build and operate serious AI capability in-house. That means our own frontier models, our own inference capacity, and state-of-the-art AI agentic tools and workflows that make frontier AI usable across the company. You'll help orchestrate that stack and set practical patterns for how teams use frontier models and agents at work, in support of programs with the world's leading technology and semiconductor companies. You'll work closely with Technology leadership and cross-functional partners, and help us choose thoughtfully when to build, buy, or use a provider. 

Responsibilities: 

• Own and improve internal systems, tooling, and frameworks so they stay reliable, documented, and easy to hand off 

• Strengthen continuity across Intercept's internal platforms and product systems 

• Build and operate in the Azure cloud stack as part of day-to-day engineering 

• Design, integrate, and harden AI-enabled tooling and workflows that make internal platforms more useful and dependable 

• Help orchestrate our own frontier models and AI inference capacity so teams can run serious AI workloads with confidence 

• Work with state-of-the-art AI agentic tools and help the Technology team adopt practical AI engineering patterns with clear documentation and operational readiness 

• Partner with Technology leadership and cross-functional teammates on shared priorities 

• Apply strong engineering and security best practices in how systems are designed, built, and run 

• Raise the bar through clear documentation, collaboration, and operational readiness

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production or internal systems 

• Experience with the Azure cloud stack 

• Hands-on experience building or operating AI-enabled software (APIs, tooling, workflows, agents, or internal products that use frontier models) 

• Experience with frontier model orchestration and/or AI inference capacity (running, routing, or operating model workloads in production or internal platforms) 

• Comfort with state-of-the-art AI agentic tools, and evidence you can work with a high degree of autonomy 

• Comfort working across evolving internal platforms, tooling, and frameworks, and improving operability and documentation 

• Clear written and verbal communication with engineers and non-engineers 

• Strong grounding in engineering and security best practices (testing, operational readiness, least privilege, and secure handling of systems) 
• Track record of professional and personal builds using AI or agentic coding workflows, with shipped work you can point to
  
• Able to work fluidly in a digital, cross-functional Technology environment
