Genesys Cloud Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Menlo Park, CA. **Telecommuting allowed for this position.**

Job description as advertised: Develop new features and components for voice network infrastructure. Perform monitoring, analysis, and support of both internal and customers’ infrastructure. Design new software features through agile development practices including chartering, storymapping, and regular stand-up meetings. Implement new features and work with support services to correct any software defects found in the field and monitor platform components. Write unit and integration tests and stay current with industry developments and new trends. Work closely and collaboratively with team members. Follow best practices for security, logging, metrics and test automation as they relate to new development. Serve as technical owner for cross-team projects and coordinate efforts through the development and release process. Guide features through deployment and into production. Understand and comply with PCI and HIPAA. Adhere to Genesys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Telecommuting allowed for this position.

Minimum Qualifications: The position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Statistical Modeling, or a related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in related occupation with software engineering experience. Position requires any amount of experience in ALL of the following:

  • Experience with scalability and availability in distributed systems.
  • Experience with REST APIs.
  • Experience with Linux operating environments.
  • Experience with agile development practices, including chartering, storymapping, and stand-up meetings.
  • Experience with IDE tools including Eclipse, Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer
  • Experience with Java, J2EE, PL/SQL, XML, HTML, CSS, UML or JIRA. 
  • Telecommuting allowed for this position.

Salary range: $161,637 to $171,637 annually.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.  

$121,000.00 - $212,800.00
