Currently, we are seeking a Senior Salesforce Functional Consultant to support a greenfield Salesforce implementation for a global security technology manufacturer. This role focuses on configuring Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Revenue Cloud to support sales, service, and quoting processes, working alongside Slalom’s business analysts and architects to implement defined requirements and approved solution designs.

What you will be doing:

You will work within a distributed Scrum team, implementing Salesforce functionality based on requirements and solution designs prepared by business analysts and architects. The implementation includes Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and the newer Revenue Cloud / Agentforce Revenue Management solution, primarily focused on configure, price, and quote (CPQ) processes.

Your responsibilities will center on hands-on platform configuration and declarative automation, supported by Slalom’s architecture team. The project begins with an Australian business rollout, with potential expansion into additional regions. You will collaborate with the implementation team in New Zealand and a Revenue Cloud architect based in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Configure Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud functionality in line with defined requirements and approved solution designs.

• Implement Revenue Cloud configuration supporting product configuration, pricing, and quoting processes, with guidance from the project’s Revenue Cloud architect.

• Prioritize standard Salesforce capabilities and declarative automation, collaborating with developers when custom functionality is required.

• Work with business analysts and architects to clarify assigned user stories, resolve functional questions, and identify implementation dependencies.

• Deliver configuration work within the team’s Scrum process, communicating progress, blockers, and questions promptly.

• Collaborate with the QA Engineer / Test Lead to validate implemented functionality and address configuration issues before customer user acceptance testing.

• Follow the project’s established deployment and release practices for Salesforce configuration changes.

• Coordinate with international team members, making effective use of the agreed working-hour overlap.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud solutions.

• Configure Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud functionality to support the sales and customer service processes defined in the approved requirements.

• Solid Salesforce configuration and declarative automation skills, with the ability to translate defined requirements into working platform functionality.

• Ability to take ownership of assigned configuration work within an established solution architecture and collaborate with architects on implementation questions and dependencies.

• Familiarity with Revenue Cloud concepts and terminology. Candidates without hands-on Revenue Cloud implementation experience should have completed relevant Salesforce Trailhead training and be prepared to apply that knowledge with architectural support.

• Ability to work within a Scrum delivery team, implementing defined user stories and collaborating with business analysts, architects, developers, and QA.

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with an international team.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday on an agreed schedule providing approximately two hours of overlap with the New Zealand team.

Nice to Have Skills

• Hands-on implementation experience with the newer Revenue Cloud / Agentforce Revenue Management solution.

• Practical experience configuring CPQ processes, including product configuration, pricing, and quoting.

• Relevant Salesforce certifications aligned with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Revenue Cloud.

• Experience contributing to greenfield Salesforce implementations or regional rollouts.

• Familiarity with Gearset or comparable Salesforce deployment tools.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools to support implementation activities and improve delivery efficiency.

• Ownership and reliability: Follow through on assigned work and maintain progress when working outside the New Zealand team’s hours.
