The Senior Consultant – Technical is a senior role responsible for leading and supporting Dayforce reporting and integration solutions across client projects and managed services engagements. This role reports directly to the Technical Portfolio Manager.
The Senior Consultant – Technical serves as a technical specialist within the organisation, providing leadership and advisory support across complex Dayforce implementations, integrations, and reporting initiatives. This role requires strong expertise in Dayforce Reporting & Analytics and Dayforce Integration Studio, with the ability to design, configure, troubleshoot, and optimise technical solutions aligned with client and business requirements.
The consultant will participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Working closely with Project Managers, Functional Consultants, technical team, and client stakeholders, the role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of reporting and integration solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
The role includes involvement in technical activities such as custom reporting, XML integrations, standard and custom API integrations, understanding of DF Link processes, benefit carrier feeds, data imports and exports, and data conversion support. The consultant will also support troubleshooting, issue resolution, risk identification, and continuous improvement initiatives across technical delivery processes. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and client-focused professional with strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced Dayforce environments.
  • Proven experience leading Dayforce implementation projects in a technical capacity, with a strong focus on reporting and integrations.
  • Dayforce certification in relevant modules, with commitment to achieving additional certifications aligned to role requirements.
  • Strong expertise in Dayforce configuration, with deep understanding of how Payroll, Workforce Management (WFM), HR, benefits, and organisational structures interact across modules.
  • Advanced experience working with Dayforce, including reporting, integrations, and data configuration.
  • Strong technical capability in:
    - SQL development and data analysis
    - XML/XSLT and structured data transformation
    - Troubleshooting and interpreting technical specifications from vendors and third parties
    - Root cause analysis of integration and data issues
  • Hands-on experience consulting on complex solutions involving reporting, exports, imports, APIs, XML integrations, and data transformations.
  • Ability to analyse vendor feedback, integration failures, and technical logs to determine root cause and define resolution steps.
  • Experience collaborating with external vendors, customers, and internal teams to deliver and validate high-quality integrations, exports, and workflows.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and configuration within Dayforce.
  • Experience working with large and complex enterprise clients in multi-project environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple customers and concurrent projects, prioritising effectively in fast-paced environments with shifting demands.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into business language.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data manipulation, reporting, and PowerPoint-based reporting/documentation.
  • Strong documentation discipline, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and traceability of technical and functional deliverables.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in Dayforce Reporting, Payroll, Workforce Management (WFM), Organisational Structure, and Integration solutions for all tasks related to Reporting and Integration.
  • Lead complex reporting and integration initiatives, providing advanced analysis, troubleshooting, and solution design support.
  • Translate business and customer requirements into scalable technical solutions and functional specifications.
  • Design, configure, and support Dayforce reporting and integration solutions, including exports, imports, XML integrations, API integrations, DF Link processes, and benefit carrier feeds.
  • Utilise Dayforce Integration Studio to build, troubleshoot, optimise, and maintain integration workflows and technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, calculated logic, data mappings, and export configurations within Dayforce.
  • Perform SQL coding and data analysis activities to support reporting, validation, troubleshooting, and reconciliation requirements.
  • Conduct customer workshops, consulting sessions, and technical discussions, ensuring all requirements, actions, and decisions are properly documented.
  • Partner with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support end-to-end testing, issue resolution, and successful deployment of technical solutions.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of export and integration solutions, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and customer expectations are achieved.
  • Analyse export files, integration logs, API responses, and technical documentation to identify root causes and determine appropriate resolutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex reporting, integration, XML, and API-related issues across multiple client environments.
  • Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders using clear business language.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge-sharing support to consultants and team members across the practice.
  • Manage escalations effectively while balancing multiple priorities and project deliverables within fast-paced environments.
  • Maintain project updates and communicate delivery status, risks, dependencies, and issues to project leadership on a regular basis.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by documenting solutions, technical standards, lessons learned, and best practices within the organisation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and “go-to” technical resource for internal teams, customers, and external partners within areas of expertise.
