JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior RCM Business Analyst focuses on optimizing operational efficiency and financial performance, as well as executing strategic transformation initiatives throughout Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operations.  The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting RCM initiatives with duties including project management, analyzing areas for process improvement, training, and documenting step-by-step protocols. This will include collaborating with leadership in other areas to support project initiatives. 
 
The ideal candidate will be involved with process reengineering, digital enablement, automation, and performance transformation focused on improving AR metrics such as DSO, denial rates, and collections. 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 
 
Process Analysis & Improvement
o Identifying areas for improvement in RCM processes, implementing changes, and monitoring their impact. Evaluate critical process opportunities for enhancement and propose tangible solutions to avoid repeatable errors.
o Gathering operational and workflow requirements to document, implement and monitor workflow processes. Identification of root cause(s) of workflow/process incident management. 
o Developing, proposing and organizing initiatives related to RCM process improvement
o Creation of designed and approved processes, enhance the automation of the technical workflows, and provide monitoring/stabilization of current business processes 
o Continuous review of RCM workflows and processes
Documentation & Communication: 
o Creating and maintaining documentation like protocols and process maps and communicating effectively with stakeholders. 
o Document detailed technical design for workflow automation, end user documentation and job aids.
o Training in new processes and protocols 
o Effectively communicate and collaborate with leadership 
 
Data Analysis: 
o Analyzing data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in the RCM process.
o Running and analyzing reporting as needed
 
Technology Support: 
o Monitoring new workflows and processes to ensure success
o Practice management maintenance related to RCM
o Create and support workflow tools such as Smartsheet
 
Project Management & Support: 
o Leading or assisting with RCM transformation initiatives, such as implementing new systems, redesigning workflows, and optimizing technology.
o Creating and executing project management plans
o Defining scopes for revenue cycle and/or company initiatives
o Setting and tracking project objectives
o Ensuring all project deliverables are completed and formally closed
o Communicating project timelines and milestones
o Monitoring project progress and assist with setting deadlines
o Presenting status updates
o Complete special projects and provide project support as requested by senior leadership.
o Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Demonstrated ability to do excessive walking, standing, bending and stooping.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or control, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel and crouch. 
 
The employee may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (50-90 pounds).  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee will be required to work in an office environment or remotely as need. Ability to travel between locations may be necessary.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position.  Typical days and hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Remote work may be considered for this position.

This is a full-time remote position. Location: Remote in AL, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, MO, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA
The hours required are Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm EST
Travel to other locations as necessary
 
 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
High School Diploma or GED Required.
Healthcare revenue cycle experience (minimum of 1 year).
