Senior Quality Specialist (Inspection and Analysis)

The Quality Sr. Specialist, Source Inspector/Analyst, within the Rocketdyne Supplier Quality Assurance organization is responsible for performing Supplier End Item Data Package (EIDP), Electronic Certificates of Conformance (ECoC), and First Article Inspection Report (FAIR in AS9102 format) reviews. All work must be performed in accordance with contractual requirements, engineering drawings, and applicable specifications. This role also supports the maintenance of the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and contributes to line rejection and turn-back reduction initiatives through proactive mitigation activities.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• NDT cert review (e.g. FPI/Radiography, etc.)
• Prior aerospace industry experience in supplier quality, source inspection, or similar functions.
• Familiarity with nonconformance documentation, corrective action processes, and supplier quality systems.
• Experience performing independent product acceptance under stamp warranty authority.
• ASQ (CQI) certification or Six Sigma preferred.
• Prior Internal/External Auditing

• Fully proficient knowledge of:

  – GD&T principles and applications.

  – Complex assemblies, machined components, and composite structures.

  – Inspection methods, processes, and documentation practices.

  • Strong proficiency in the use of inspection tools, including hand tools, precision measurement instruments, and visual inspection aids.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with suppliers, engineers, and management.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the United States, to occasionally support supplier related activities.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and AS9120.
