Driven by a clear vision to strengthen the stability, reliability, and advancement of energy infrastructure, we take pride in delivering work that matters. Guided by our STRIDE values - Safety, Teamwork, Responsibility, Integrity, Deliver, and Excellence - we foster a people focused culture of growth, mentorship and collaboration where safety always come first.
What You'll Do
Reporting to the Director of Project Services, the Senior Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules across the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction and bid development through baseline establishment and execution support.
This is not a schedule maintenance role. We are seeking someone who can build credible, logic-driven schedules grounded in real construction means and methods, actively support project teams through planning and execution, and contribute to strengthening scheduling standards, templates, and repeatable processes across the organization.
The ideal candidate brings advanced Primavera P6 expertise, strong construction acumen, and experience supporting complex, high-value, high-risk EPC projects.
This role is well-suited for an individual who wants to go beyond managing individual project schedules and play a meaningful role in evolving and maturing the organization’s scheduling function.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Independently develop and own preliminary project schedules for bids, proposals, and preconstruction efforts based on available scope, drawings, client requirements, execution assumptions, and commercial milestones.
- Work closely with estimating, engineering, procurement, project management, and operations teams to translate construction strategy, sequencing, milestones, constraints, and resource requirements into practical and executable schedules.
- Provide scheduling leadership during the transition from estimate to execution, including schedule handoff documentation, logic assumptions, basis of schedule information, and planning support for project teams.
- Develop, maintain, and control contract, baseline, and execution schedules that align with project scope, contractual milestones, procurement strategy, engineering deliverables, and field execution plans.
- Independently manage scheduling activities for assigned projects, particularly larger, more complex, or higher risk EPC projects where schedule quality, integration, and forecasting are critical.
- Establish an effective schedule update process with project teams and ensure schedules accurately reflect progress, remaining work, current constraints, resource planning, and forecast completion dates.
- Perform detailed schedule analysis to identify critical and near critical path impacts, sequencing concerns, float erosion, long lead risks, emerging delays, and opportunities to improve execution.
- Proactively communicate schedule risks and recommended actions to project leadership, providing clear analysis that supports timely decision making.
- Lead schedule change evaluation and work with project teams to develop mitigation, acceleration, or recovery plans. Incorporate approved changes in scope, sequencing, and execution strategy into the schedule.
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, subcontractors, project management, and field operations to ensure schedules reflect current deliverables, commitments, constraints, and actual project conditions.
- Prepare schedule reports, narratives, dashboards, presentations, and executive level summaries for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of scheduling templates, procedures, standards, governance, and repeatable processes, primarily within Primavera P6.
- Establish consistent expectations for schedule development, maintenance, analysis, reporting, change control, and project team participation across the organization.
- Serve as a scheduling subject matter expert and provide practical guidance, coaching, and support to project managers, project controls personnel, and operational teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve scheduling tools, data quality, reporting, and integration with broader project controls and project management processes.
- Help build a scalable scheduling function that provides greater consistency, structure, accountability, and discipline across the organization.
- Support the future growth of the scheduling team through the development of standard work practices, training materials, onboarding resources, and quality review processes.
- Demonstrate the leadership capability and organizational perspective required to assume broader responsibility within the scheduling function as the team grows.
Additional Information
As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to complete pre-employment screening including professional reference checks and a criminal record check.
