AI Summary

Drive projects from concept to release by collaborating closely with product managers and designers. Write and review high-quality code while leveraging AI to improve development velocity and domain understanding.

About Us

Ediphi offers the most comprehensive cloud-based estimating and preconstruction solution on the market. Our goal is to reduce the time spent in preconstruction, enabling projects to break ground more quickly and estimators to feel more confident in their work.

We started when Michael Navarro, an estimating pro at Suffolk, knew there was a better way than relying on spreadsheet nightmares. He began creating a solution built by estimators, for estimators. He teamed up with Dustin DeVan, founder of BuildingConnected (acquired by Autodesk for $275 million), to launch Ediphi in 2023. With a $12M Series A round led by Norwest Venture Partners and with ongoing participation from Suffolk Technologies, Ediphi continues to grow as a SaaS offering for General Contractors around the country.

About This Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join one of our feature teams. We have found that small teams of smart, kind, collaborative people who care about solving real user problems can accomplish amazing things. At Ediphi, we look for product engineers who care about the customer's problem, not just the spec, and who work alongside Product and Design to build something our customers love to use. If that sounds like you, we would love to have you join us!

At Ediphi, we’re building diverse teams from all backgrounds who share similar values to ours. If you don’t feel you check all the experiences and qualifications we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply!

What You’ll Do

  • Drive projects from concept to release, alongside Product Manager and Designer partners. Each project has an engineer assigned to help drive it (we call them Epic Anchors). Epic anchors work closely with product and design through the entire lifecycle of a project to collaboratively determine what we build and how we build it.

  • Write and review code (thoughtfully using AI to help with both). Engineers here leverage AI to not only help us move more quickly, but also to more deeply understand our own customers and codebase to ensure we keep our quality bar high.

  • Work in a distributed, remote environment. Key meetings are usually 8–11 am PT.

What You’ll Need

  • Customer-centric mindset. You don’t just focus on how to implement things, you also enjoy discussing and deeply understanding the “why”.

  • Collaborative working style. You enjoy working closely across disciplines to find creative solutions to problems together.

  • Strong communication skills. You ask clarifying questions, work to make sure every voice is heard, and help shepherd discussions toward concrete conclusions.

  • Pragmatic AI enthusiasm. You utilize AI thoughtfully to help speed up velocity and increase your understanding of your users, the domain, and the codebase. You avoid blindly shipping slop.

  • Attention to quality and correctness. An inaccurate construction estimate can have severe impacts on a company’s financials, so it is extra important we keep quality in mind throughout the entire development process.

  • Proficiency in modern web tech. Preferably our stack: Node.js, React, TypeScript, and Postgres.

  • Bonus: you've worked in construction or fintech.

Why take on this role?

  • Opportunity for real impact. Help shape the culture, direction, and success of a fast-moving startup.

  • Supportive leadership team. Work with experienced leaders who prioritize your growth and well-being.

  • Competitive compensation, equity, and growth potential. Be part of something big, where your contributions have an outsized impact, both professionally and financially.

  • Change an industry while improving how people work. Don’t take our word for it, check out what our customers say about Ediphi.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and equity

  • Unlimited PTO (and we actually encourage you to use it)

  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance

  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave

  • A phenomenal, remote-first team that deeply cares about creating great products

Join us!

At Ediphi, our values are passion, integrity, curiosity, humility, and openness. If this sounds like a team you'd like to be part of, please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your relevant experience for this position. We're excited to hear from you!

Building a fantastic product requires building an amazing, diverse team. Diversity in life and perspective is the driver of creativity and innovation! Thus, we do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. We invite candidates from all backgrounds to join our mission. At this time, we’re only hiring applicants located in the U.S. or Canada who do not require a visa sponsorship. Check back in the future, though, as we grow!
