Senior Onboarding Specialist (Intake Care Analyst) - Evernorth 

 

Help Shape Exceptional Patient Access Experiences 

At CarepathRx, part of Evernorth, we are transforming how pharmacy care is delivered across health systems and hospitals nationwide. Our team helps patients access the care and support they need while improving clinical and operational outcomes. As a Senior Onboarding Specialist (Intake Care Analyst), you will play a key role in ensuring referrals move smoothly through the onboarding process while helping teammates grow, improving workflows, and driving operational excellence. Hours: 8:30am-5pm EST, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities 

·               Ensure referrals are processed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with established workflows and quality standards. 

·               Support timely patient access by reviewing, documenting, and assigning referral information received through multiple channels. 

·               Serve as a subject matter expert for onboarding processes, systems, and operational best practices. 

·               Lead onboarding and training activities for new team members, helping them build confidence and achieve success in their roles. 

·               Develop and maintain training materials, standard operating procedures, job aids, and reference resources that promote consistency and quality. 

·               Provide guidance and support for complex cases, workflow questions, and process escalations. 

·               Partner with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, accuracy, and the patient experience. 

·               Conduct quality reviews and use insights to strengthen processes and team performance. 

·               Communicate updates, reinforce best practices, and support the successful adoption of new initiatives. 

·               Contribute to special projects and operational improvements that help the organization achieve its goals. 

Qualifications 

Required Qualifications 

·               High school diploma or GED. 

·               Minimum 2 years of experience in prior authorization, insurance verification, patient onboarding, intake operations, or a related healthcare setting. 

·               Knowledge of healthcare onboarding workflows and operational processes. 

·               Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills. 

·               Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 

·               Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. 

·               Experience using intake management systems or similar healthcare technology platforms. 

·               Commitment to protecting confidential patient information and delivering excellent service to internal and external customers. 

Preferred Qualifications 

·               Experience training, coaching, or mentoring team members. 

·               Experience developing process documentation, training materials, or standard operating procedures. 

·               Experience supporting workflow improvement initiatives or operational projects. 

·               Advanced knowledge of referral intake, patient access, or specialty pharmacy operations. 


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 24 - 37 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
