This role serves as the functional lead and technical authority for NetSuite and related financial systems, leading complex, high-visibility initiatives that strengthen departmental effectiveness and enable scalable, data-informed decision-making. The position is responsible for shaping and operationalizing the approach for NetSuite administration, integrations, and reporting across a highly variable and evolving environment, ensuring the platform and its ecosystem support organizational priorities, financial integrity, and operational resilience.
This role leads the strategic and day-to-day stewardship of NetSuite, NSAW, SuiteScripts, and third-party bundles/SuiteApps (for example, Nolan and OCR), while driving the design and optimization of integrations with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Tipalti, US Bank, Expensify, ADP, and Addepar. The position partners across Finance, Advisors, and IT to set priorities, resolve ambiguous technical and operational challenges, guide solution design, and ensure reliable data flows, scalable reporting, and well-governed system changes. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on NetSuite expertise, strong integration and data architecture capability, and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional work that influences departmental priorities and long-range functional strategy.
Lead the strategic and operational stewardship of NetSuite and NSAW, establishing priorities, governance, and quality standards for workflows, SuiteScripts, CSV imports, file cabinets, reports, saved searches, roles/permissions, forms, and custom records.
Drive cross-functional planning and execution for high-priority system changes, release readiness, and production stability, balancing competing stakeholder needs and ensuring alignment with Finance, IT, and business priorities.
Establish and maintain operational documentation, governance artifacts, testing approaches, and runbooks to support sustainable operations, auditability, and effective knowledge transfer.
Lead resolution of complex production issues and data integrity concerns by coordinating internal and external resources, defining escalation paths, communicating impacts, and driving issues through closure.
Guide extraction, migration, validation, and reconciliation of historical and operational data needed for compliance, continuity, and Finance reporting.
Monitor service levels, identify trends and root causes, and recommend operational and strategic improvements that strengthen departmental performance and reliability.
Builds and maintains financial reports in NSAW to inform leadership decision-making, including resource allocation.
Identify and prioritize system enhancement opportunities that improve financial operations, user experience, controls, and scalability, translating functional needs into a strategic roadmap for implementation.
Lead design, testing, and rollout of enhancements in a highly iterative environment, ensuring regression coverage, change governance, and adoption planning are in place.
Assess emerging capabilities, including AI-enabled features in NetSuite and NSAW, and recommend practical applications that advance efficiency, insight, and long-range functional goals.
Lead integration planning and delivery for NetSuite-connected systems, setting direction for mappings, schedules, monitoring, controls, and support approaches across multiple platforms and stakeholder groups.
Partner with business, technical, and vendor teams to resolve ambiguous requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and implement integration solutions that improve data quality, process efficiency, and operational resilience.
Implement system changes required to support integration with NetSuite including but not limited to: Salesforce, AP Automation, ADP, US Bank, Addepar, and other relevant applications.
Establish standards for integration documentation, runbooks, testing evidence, and issue management to support sustainable operations and effective cross-functional collaboration.
Lead testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of integration issues end to end, ensuring impacts are clearly communicated and solutions advance departmental capabilities and priorities.
Serve as the technical authority for NetSuite integration patterns, data flows, and ecosystem architecture, setting expectations for quality, maintainability, and outcomes.
Apply deep expertise across NetSuite, SuiteApps, and connected platforms to anticipate risks, adapt approaches, and guide decisions in a complex and evolving systems landscape.
Influence technical direction within the functional area by recommending standards, architectural approaches, and investment priorities that strengthen long-range departmental capabilities.
Deep NetSuite administration and development expertise, with the ability to serve as the technical authority for configuration, workflows, custom objects, reporting, and SuiteScript in a complex enterprise environment.
Advanced capability to lead ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives, translating business needs into scalable solutions and guiding stakeholders through technical tradeoffs and implementation decisions.
Demonstrated success designing, developing, testing, and deploying integration and system solutions that have departmental impact and improve strategic capabilities.
Strong understanding of Finance operations and the ability to shape secure, maintainable NetSuite solutions that support functional and departmental priorities.
Expertise in enterprise integrations, APIs, middleware/iPaaS, and data architecture patterns, including the ability to set standards for monitoring, issue resolution, and operational support.
Strong data quality, migration, and reconciliation capabilities, with experience leading validation and signoff processes across stakeholder groups.
Ability to establish governance, testing, and change-management practices that support release readiness, operational resilience, and sustainable adoption.
Strong documentation, communication, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to influence varied internal and external stakeholders and align competing needs.
Demonstrated business acumen and strategic planning capability, including the ability to anticipate challenges, prioritize competing resources, and contribute to short- and long-range functional strategy.
7 years of direct experience and a relevant bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field; or 9 years of relevant experience.
At least 3 years of experience in project, technical, or supervisory leadership capacity.
Experience supporting Finance teams and leading NetSuite-related integrations across enterprise platforms in complex, cross-functional environments strongly preferred.
