Job Title: Senior Marketing Manager

Location: South Africa

Job Type: Full-Time, Remote

Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)

Salary: South African Rand (ZAR)

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Marketing Manager to take full ownership of a growing company’s marketing strategy, brand positioning, digital presence and lead-generation activities.

This is a senior, hands-on marketing leadership role for someone who can develop the strategy and lead its execution from beginning to end. You will be responsible for strengthening the brand, improving search visibility, generating high-quality leads and developing sustainable referral and partnership channels.

This is not a social media coordinator or content-posting position. We are looking for a commercially minded marketing professional who understands how SEO, paid advertising, content, social media, brand strategy, campaigns and website performance work together to generate measurable business results.

You will have the autonomy to outsource specialist work such as graphic design, web development, copywriting or motion graphics when required, while remaining accountable for the overall strategy, quality and results.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and own the company’s overall marketing and brand strategy.
  • Translate business objectives into clear marketing priorities, campaigns and measurable targets.
  • Create and execute an integrated marketing plan across digital, referral and brand-development channels.
  • Manage campaigns from initial concept through execution, measurement and optimisation.
  • Advise senior leadership on market positioning, growth opportunities and marketing priorities.
  • Build and develop the marketing function as the company grows.
  • Identify when additional specialist support, agencies or contractors are required.

Brand Strategy

  • Strengthen and consistently manage the company’s brand across all platforms.
  • Develop clear and compelling messaging for clients, families, referral partners and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all marketing materials reflect a professional, credible and consistent brand.
  • Oversee external designers, copywriters and creative specialists where required.
  • Maintain high standards across all marketing output.

SEO, Website & Digital Performance

  • Develop and execute an SEO strategy to improve search visibility, rankings and organic traffic.
  • Conduct keyword, competitor and market research.
  • Improve website content, structure, user experience and conversion performance.
  • Monitor website traffic, user behaviour, lead sources and conversion data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve website performance and lead conversion.
  • Coordinate website improvements with external developers or specialists.
  • Ensure digital activity is focused on meaningful business outcomes and lead generation.

Paid Advertising & Lead Generation

  • Plan, manage and optimise Google Ads and other relevant paid advertising campaigns.
  • Develop campaigns focused on generating high-quality, relevant leads.
  • Monitor campaign performance, budgets, conversion rates and cost per lead.
  • Test and optimise messaging, audiences, landing pages and campaign strategies.
  • Analyse results and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Provide clear reporting on performance, challenges, opportunities and recommended adjustments.

Content, Social Media & Campaigns

  • Develop a content and social media strategy aligned with broader commercial objectives.
  • Oversee the creation of website content, social media content, campaigns and marketing materials.
  • Ensure content is relevant, accurate, engaging and appropriate for a professional healthcare environment.
  • Build brand awareness, engagement and trust across relevant platforms.
  • Manage marketing and campaign calendars and ensure consistent execution.
  • Ensure content supports lead generation and business growth rather than simply focusing on engagement metrics.

Referral & Partnership Marketing

  • Develop strategies to strengthen professional referral relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to generate leads through partnerships, professional networks and community relationships.
  • Develop campaigns and marketing materials that support referral growth.
  • Track referral sources and determine which activities generate the strongest results.
  • Develop sustainable relationship-based lead-generation channels.

Requirements

Must-Have

  • Significant experience in a senior marketing, marketing management or brand strategy role.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing an end-to-end marketing strategy.
  • Strong practical knowledge of SEO, Google Ads, social media, digital campaigns, websites and lead generation.
  • Proven track record of generating measurable leads and improving digital marketing performance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing data and use it to drive decisions.
  • Experience managing external agencies, designers, developers, copywriters or other specialist providers.
  • Strong understanding of the US market and US consumer behaviour.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking, organisation and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take complete ownership of marketing delivery.
  • A portfolio or clear evidence of successful campaigns and measurable marketing outcomes will be required.

Highly Advantageous

  • Experience within healthcare, home care, behavioural health, ABA or another regulated service environment.
  • Experience marketing services to US-based audiences.
  • Familiarity with healthcare referral networks and relationship-based lead generation.
  • Experience building, restructuring or scaling an in-house marketing function.
  • Experience working with service-based businesses where lead generation and conversion are key performance indicators.

Thinking of applying? Here's the inside scoop.

Let us walk you through the next steps.

Step 1 – Complete Your Application

Fill in our application form and upload your CV. This stores your profile in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and places you into our active job pipelines, making it easier for us to match you with current and future opportunities.

Step 2 – The First Look (One-Way Video Interview)

This is where your application comes to life. We review your CV and video interview to get a feel for your experience, communication style, and overall fit. If we like what we see, you're on to the next step!

Why do we ask for a video?

Because a résumé can tell us what you've done, but it can't show us you. Your video is your moment to shine, and it helps us see:

  • How you communicate and connect with people.
  • How you present yourself professionally.
  • Other opportunities you might be an even better fit for (bonus surprises!).

Think of it as your personal trailer. One great video means we can pitch you for multiple roles and get you in front of the right employers, faster.

Heads up: Some clients watch your video directly, so make it one you'd be proud to have represent you. This is your highlight reel—make it count!

Step 3 – Let's Actually Talk

A Recruitment Specialist calls to chat about your experience, your availability, what you want to earn, and the role itself. Consider it a friendly vibe check.

Step 4 – The Fine Print, Made Fun

We break down what it's like working as an independent contractor—hours, pay, contract terms, the whole deal. No surprises, no fine-print sneakiness. You'll get it all in writing.

Step 5 – Matchmaking Time

Our Talent Delivery Team plays cupid, matching you to clients where you're most likely to shine. We can't promise everyone gets picked, but we're rooting for you.

Step 6 – Showtime

Got shortlisted? We'll set up your interview, prep you like a pro, and have your back the whole way—with a Reworks teammate right there facilitating.

Step 7 – The Verdict

We chase feedback the second it lands and keep you in the loop.
