The Senior Manager, Value-Based Care Analytics is responsible for leading a team of analysts and delivering strategic analytics, reporting, and performance insights that support Somatus' value-based care programs and client partnerships.
This role serves as a key partner to VBC Operations, Provider Engagement, Customer Success, Finance, Product, and Executive Leadership teams by transforming complex healthcare data into actionable insights that improve clinical outcomes, enhance operational performance, and optimize financial results.
The Senior Manager will oversee the development of analytics solutions, client reporting, performance measurement frameworks, and strategic analyses across value-based care initiatives. This individual will combine deep healthcare analytics expertise with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to ensure the successful execution of reporting, quality measurement, population health, and cost-of-care initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with experience in healthcare claims analytics, value-based care performance measurement, and developing high-performing analytics teams.

- Lead analytics initiatives supporting Somatus' value-based care programs, contracts, and population health strategies.
- Manage and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Clinical, Operations, Provider Engagement, Finance, Product, and Customer Success leaders to deliver actionable insights that improve outcomes and financial performance.
- Oversee the development and delivery of executive, operational, and client-facing reporting, dashboards, and performance scorecards.
- Analyze healthcare claims, clinical, and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks related to quality, utilization, engagement, and total cost of care.
- Establish reporting standards, business definitions, and documentation to ensure consistent and reliable performance measurement.
- Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to leadership, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and advanced analytics solutions.
- Manage multiple analytics projects and priorities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Support the growth and success of value-based care programs through data-driven decision-making and performance improvement initiatives.
- Establish and maintain a weekly partnership meeting with key Value-Based Care operational leaders to review performance metrics, discuss operational challenges, prioritize analytical needs, and support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Public Health, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related quantitative field.
- 6-10 years of experience in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or population health analytics.
- 3+ years of experience supporting value-based care programs, provider organizations, health plans, ACOs, MSOs, IPA networks, or risk-bearing healthcare entities.
- 2+ years of experience leading analysts, project teams, or analytics functions.
- Experience working with medical claims, pharmacy claims, eligibility, clinical, and operational healthcare datasets.
- Experience developing executive-level and client-facing reporting and presentations.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders across multiple business areas.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience in kidney care, chronic disease management, population health, or care management analytics.
- Experience supporting Medicare Advantage, Medicare Shared Savings Programs, Medicaid, or Commercial value-based care arrangements.
- Experience managing healthcare quality programs including HEDIS, Stars, CMS quality measures, and provider incentive programs.
- Experience working within Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, or other cloud-based analytics environments.
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies and tools such as Jira and GitHub.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL development and data analysis skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- Working knowledge of Python, R, or other analytical programming languages preferred.
- Understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and healthcare reporting architectures.
- Experience overseeing data validation and quality assurance processes.
Healthcare & Value-Based Care Expertise
- Strong understanding of value-based care models, population health management, and healthcare performance measurement.
- Knowledge of cost-of-care analytics, utilization management, risk adjustment, member attribution, and financial performance evaluation.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and provider-sponsored health plan programs.
- Understanding of healthcare coding systems, including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, and revenue codes.
- Knowledge of quality measurement programs such as HEDIS, Stars, and CMS quality initiatives.

- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop analytical teams.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple workstreams.
- Ability to influence decision making through data-driven insights and recommendations.

Compensation
$135,000 to $145,000
We offer competitive compensation that reflects market conditions and recognizes the skills, experience, and contributions of our team members. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location and may fall outside of the range shown above. In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus in accordance with the Company's applicable incentive compensation plans.
