Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Product Office Operations & Portfolio Management will serve as a highly visible strategic partner helping shape and advance Retail Pharmacy Technology’s transformation agenda. Reporting to the Lead Director, Product Office Strategy & Stakeholder Management, this role will connect strategy to execution across a broad portfolio - including key priorities such as Rx Modernization and the H100 ecosystem - by translating complex initiatives, dependencies, and investments into an integrated roadmap with clear priorities and measurable outcomes.

Partnering across Product, Engineering, Business, and Operations, this senior individual contributor will drive portfolio governance, roadmap and planning operations, intake and prioritization, objective and key result management, execution transparency, and executive reporting. The role will equip decision-makers with actionable insights into portfolio health, risks, capacity, dependencies, and value realization—enabling informed trade-offs, stronger accountability, and faster delivery across pharmacy workflows, digital health experiences, enterprise platforms, artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities, and other emerging priorities.

The ideal candidate brings strong product and portfolio management expertise, data-driven decision-making, executive storytelling, and exceptional stakeholder leadership. Primary Responsibilities:

Portfolio Governance & Roadmap Operations (30%)

• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to maintain an integrated Retail Pharmacy Technology roadmap.
• Manage portfolio planning processes, quarterly planning cycles, and roadmap reviews.
• Drive visibility into cross-team dependencies, risks, sequencing decisions, and execution milestones.
• Prepare materials and recommendations to support investment and prioritization discussions.
• Ensure alignment of portfolio activities with value streams and strategic business priorities.

• Use Jira to monitor delivery progress, milestones, dependencies, risks, and portfolio commitments across product teams.

Intake & Prioritization Management (20%)

• Own day-to-day administration of intake, demand management, and portfolio review processes.
• Evaluate incoming requests against strategic objectives, capacity constraints, and business value criteria.
• Facilitate prioritization discussions across stakeholders and product teams.
• Maintain governance artifacts, decision logs, and portfolio documentation. 

OKRs, Metrics & Value Realization (20%)

• Partner with business and product leaders to define and maintain OKRs and success metrics.
• Develop reporting frameworks that connect delivery performance to improvements in pharmacy workflow, colleague experience, consumer engagement, operational efficiency, and business value
• Track portfolio performance, benefits realization, operational metrics, and value delivery.Design and maintain executive dashboards and portfolio scorecards using Tableau, Power BI, or comparable business intelligence platforms to highlight progress, risks, dependencies, capacity, and value realization.

Executive Communications & Reporting (15%)

• Create executive-ready presentations, business reviews, and leadership updates.
• Develop concise narratives that connect technology investments to business outcomes.
• Support preparation of board, ELT, and senior leadership materials.
• Translate complex delivery and portfolio information into clear, actionable insights. 

Product Office Operating Model & Continuous Improvement (15%)

• Support the evolution of Product Office governance, planning, and execution processes.
• Drive consistency across portfolio management practices, templates, and reporting. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve decision-making.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations leaders to strengthen execution discipline and accountability.
• Improve data quality and reporting consistency by establishing common Jira practices, portfolio data standards, and dashboard governance. 

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product management, portfolio management, program management, strategy, or business operations.
• Experience supporting large-scale product portfolios within a technology organization.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery, roadmap planning, and product operating models.
• Hands-on experience using Tableau, Power BI, or comparable dashboard platforms to develop portfolio reporting, visualize trends, and translate complex data into actionable leadership insights.
• Demonstrated experience developing executive communications and leadership presentations.
• Strong analytical skills with experience establishing KPIs, dashboards, and performance measurement frameworks.
• Proven ability to influence and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, retail technology, or digital product organizations.
• Experience with portfolio management, investment planning, or governance functions.
• Familiarity with OKR frameworks and value realization methodologies.
• Experience supporting executive leadership teams and strategic initiatives.
• Strong PowerPoint storytelling and executive communication skills.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
