Summary

The Senior Manager, Process Excellence position in Caremark’s Center of Excellence requires an ambitious, motivated, and eager individual, seeking to transform our business and be a part of a Fortune 6 company. The position is a part of our enterprise supporting a team focused on process improvement, change management and transformation in all facets of our business.

As the Senior Manager, Process Excellence, you'll be responsible for leading end-to-end, large-scale enterprise-wide transformations. You will lead highly complex initiatives, shape direction, and influence senior leadership while operating with a high degree of autonomy. You will also play a critical role in elevating team capability through coaching Managers and Senior Analysts.

This role requires and individual who is a thought leader and is able to establish and influence governance, KPIs and sustainability models.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Improvement
  • Leads large-scale, cross-functional transformation initiatives and structures ambiguous problems into actionable plans.
  • Drives the design of process improvement plans and is an expert in proven methods and tools such as: DMAIC, DMADV, DFSS and LEAN.
  • Master facilitator for large-scale matrixed projects, Kaizen Events, Rapid Process Improvement Events, Current / Future state design and other types of events.
  • Aligns initiatives to enterprise priorities.
  • Establishes governance, KPIs, and sustainability models.
  • Lead and perform detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses (e.g., cycle time, defect rates, rework, capacity, handoffs, etc.) using Excel, Minitab, and other tools.
  • Ensure project team remains on track, follows departmental standards and provides regular updates to key stakeholders.

• Change Execution
  • Drives design of change management execution plans utilizing proven methods and tools such as: ADKAR, Kotter’s 8-Step Model, Lewin’s Model and others.
  • Ensures change efforts and enable adoption, behavior change, and sustained outcomes across operational teams.
  • Partners with executive sponsors, stakeholders and business leaders to assess change readiness, stakeholder impacts, and resistance risks.
  • Drives the development and execution of change deliverables, including: communications, training materials, job aids and reinforcement plans.
  • Monitors adoption of metrics and feedback loops to adjust change strategies as needed, in real-time.
  • Drives business’ adoption plans and enables smooth transition of ownership.

• Strategic Support
  • Serves as a thought leader and can influence without authority.
  • Strategic thinker who applies solutions across the enterprise and ties them to corporate strategic objectives.
  • Advances enterprise methodologies and standards.
  • Scales best practices across the enterprise.
  • Displays a strong executive presence.
  • Expert in coaching experienced process and change practitioners.
  • Ability to pull resources from a variety of teams and skill sets to design, build, test and deploy solutions.

You will need to be a person who is a natural leader, a skilled mentor and coach and has a strong desire to grow with an evolving, high performing team.

Required Qualifications:   

• 7+ years of experience in process improvement, change execution and strategic support.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.

                                                          

Preferred Qualifications:  

• PBM experience.
• Experience leading complex initiatives in matrixed environment.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership.
• Black Belt Certification and/or Change Management Certification.
• Project Management Certification.
• Experience and familiarity with QuickBase, Lucid and Visio.
• People leadership experience.

Education

• Bachelors Degree.
• Masters Degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $182,549.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
