Title:              Senior Manager, Leadership & Transformation Communication

Location:       Remote – USA, Canada

Reports to:     SVP, Corporate Communications

The Role:   

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Leadership & Transformation Communication who is responsible for partnering with the SVP Corporate Communications to develop and implement an effective leadership communication program critical to shaping the go-forward culture and effectiveness of the senior leadership of JD Power.

Additionally, this role will provide Change Management communication support for major initiatives underway at JD Power, in partnership with the Transformation Office. Experience developing communication and change management strategies and implementing action plans to effectively achieve growth will be critical to success in this role. Expertise in understanding change management, alignment with the JD Power strategy and impacts on the employee experience are key to support the from-to journey with effective communication toolkits and processes.

What You’ll Be Doing in This Role: 

  • Developing a strategic communication plan to support the rollout and integration of the new JD Power Leadership Framework, including working with senior leaders and People & Culture colleagues to shift and shape the culture.
  • Create Values-focused communication strategy, supporting materials and forums to roll out enterprise-wide that consistently reinforce examples of successfully bringing the JD Power values to life
  • Develop supportive communication and activation plans to deepen understanding of the characteristics and behaviours expected that support the go-forward culture and values & Leadership Framework
  • Applying leadership and strategic communication best practices that can be implemented in support of JD Power’s growth strategy, key enablers, culture and values.
  • Applying change management and strategic communication best practices that can be implemented in support of Transformation Office assigned projects.
  • Developing communication strategy, timeline, key messages and writing of all supporting content (i.e.: talking points, toolkits, FAQs, articles, etc.) for assigned Transformation Project initiatives
  • Managing the review and approval process to secure review by SVP Corporate Communications, as well as securing all relevant SMEs and executive-sponsor signoffs in advance to ensure consistency with JD Power growth strategy
  • Coordinating with Corporate Communications calendar to confirm communication timing for any content that will need to be disseminated to all or larger groups of employees.

  • Leadership and organizational communication expertise based on best practices relevant to a virtual-first, fast moving, growth-oriented company
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in partnership with others are critical for this role
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills with ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize/manage several active projects simultaneously so that all deadlines are met.
  • Employee-focused writing skills and effective spoken communication, research and decision-making skills are required
  • Excellent change management and strategic communication planning and writing skills.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide Transformation/Change Management initiatives that impact multiple functional areas.
  • Team player with effective interpersonal skills.

This position has a starting salary range of $96,000 – 130,000 USD per year. This is the range we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for the role at the time of posting. An employee’s pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
