Senior Manager, International Tax

Position Summary 

This position is responsible for the preparation and management of tax compliance and income tax provisions relating to ICU Medical, Inc.’s foreign subsidiaries. Responsibilities will also include global tax planning as well as acquisition planning, integration, and special projects. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the U.S. tax compliance of its foreign operations, including the calculation and documentation of Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, E&P, foreign tax credits, etc. 
• Prepare and review the quarterly and annual tax provision
• Review and manage the international compliance of its foreign subsidiaries.
• Perform international tax modeling and related structure maintenance 
• Support the Company’s international integration, expansion, and special tax projects
• Identify and implement systems and process improvement initiatives
• Support international tax audits including drafting responses to information requests
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements 
• Research, plan and document related tax issues and positions
• Interface with outside tax advisors

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced knowledge of international tax principles, including transfer pricing standard and principles
• Solid understanding of ASC740
• OneSource/Thomson Reuters income tax compliance software knowledge required
• Ability to understand business objectives with tax strategies 
• Excellent project management skills and ability to effectively communicate with foreign subsidiaries and manage outside advisors
• Advanced international tax technical skills 
• Ability to perform complex international tax modeling
• Tax system/ERP integration knowledge
• Ability to identify issues, propose solutions and take ownership, including follow-through, on recommended solutions.
• Ability to drive and implement process improvement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal
• Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments and trends relating to duties

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience 

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation from an accredited college or university is required
• Master’s degree in Taxation or JD preferred
• CPA preferred 
• 8+ years of experience with Big 4 public accounting and/or a US-based multinational company, manufacturing experience preferred.

Work Environment

• This is largely a sedentary role. 
• This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
• Typically requires travel 5-20% of the time

This role is based remotely; the incumbent may be remote in any state other than Colorado; California; Connecticut; Montana, Maine or New York.
