The Senior Manager, Threat Intelligence & Research is responsible for leading high-impact threat intelligence initiatives, advanced investigations, and strategic incident response efforts across Akamai's global security platform.
You will operate at the intersection of real-world adversary activity, global Internet telemetry, and critical customer incidents, providing strategic insight that informs product development, security operations, and Akamai's role as a trusted authority in cybersecurity.

As a Manager Senior Information Security, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and mentoring a team of threat intelligence analysts and security researchers
• Defining research priorities and intelligence strategy aligned with Akamai's security mission
• Driving cross-functional collaboration across security operations, product engineering, and executive leadership
• Translating complex threat intelligence into actionable insights for customers, product teams, and leadership

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
• Have 5-7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with experience focused on threat research and in a leadership role
• Have a deep understanding of Cyber Threat Intelligence including threat actor analysis, OSINT collection and analysis, Intelligence lifecycle management etc
• Have technical background in network protocols and internet-scale architectures, web applications & API security, DDOS mitigation, bot management and access control,

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $139,300 - $250,700/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
