Senior Manager Business System Analysis

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Business Systems Analysis leads multiple related teams responsible for translating complex business needs into scalable technology and process solutions. This role establishes priorities, allocates resources, and provides leadership to managers and professional coworkers across business analysis, requirements management, solution design, process optimization, and data-informed decision-making. The Senior Manager partners with business and technology leaders to align area plans with organizational objectives, resolve non-standard business and operational challenges, and ensure consistent quality, governance, and delivery across the business systems analysis practice.

 

What you will do:

• Lead the Business Systems Analysis area by setting priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring teams deliver consistent, high-quality analysis and solution outcomes aligned with business and Technology objectives.
• Lead multiple related business systems analysis teams and provide direction to managers and professional coworkers, including goal setting, coaching, performance management, workforce planning, and talent development.
• Develop area and team plans, priorities, operating rhythms, and resource strategies that align business systems analysis work with Technology and enterprise objectives.
• Oversee the intake, discovery, analysis, prioritization, and documentation of complex business and functional requirements across a portfolio of initiatives.
• Partner with business, product, architecture, engineering, data, security, and project leadership to translate business strategies and challenges into feasible solution options and recommendations.
• Ensure teams apply consistent standards for requirements elicitation, process modeling, systems analysis, traceability, acceptance criteria, testing support, and solution validation.
• Direct analysis of non-standard operational and business problems, bringing together the appropriate resources within and outside the area to identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and drive resolution.
• Assess demand, capacity, risk, dependencies, and trade-offs; allocate resources and adjust priorities based on area objectives, business plans, and available funding.
• Provide governance and leadership for business process design and optimization, identifying opportunities to simplify work, improve controls, increase efficiency, and strengthen user and customer outcomes.
• Establish performance measures and reporting to monitor delivery, quality, stakeholder outcomes, risks, and continuous improvement across the area.
• Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners; communicate complex or sensitive matters, explain trade-offs, and influence decisions and actions.
• Promote knowledge sharing, reusable practices, and the continued development of business analysis capabilities, tools, templates, and communities of practice.
• Ensure work complies with applicable technology, data, privacy, security, financial, and operational standards and policies.
• Manage large complex cross functional strategic programs
• Manage external partners or vendors, when applicable, including scope, quality, performance, risks, and alignment to business outcomes.

 

What we expect of you:

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in business systems analysis, business analysis, technology delivery, process design, product delivery, or a related field, including 3 years of people leadership experience, OR 14 years of relevant experience, including 3 years of people leadership experience.
• Experience leading multiple related teams, managers, or a broad portfolio of professional work in a matrixed organization.
• Demonstrated expertise in business and functional requirements, systems analysis, process modeling, solution evaluation, and technology delivery methodologies.
• Strong understanding of how business systems analysis integrates with product management, architecture, engineering, quality assurance, data, security, and project or program management.
• Proven ability to translate business strategies and ambiguous problems into clear priorities, plans, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience with portfolio planning, demand and capacity management, resource allocation, risk management, and budget or vendor oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex, non-standard operational and business problems with broad cross-functional impact.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts, handle sensitive issues, influence senior stakeholders, and build consensus.
• Strong leadership capability with experience coaching leaders and professionals, building inclusive teams, managing performance, and developing talent.
• Proficiency with business analysis and collaboration tools, including requirements repositories, process modeling, work management, reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working in Agile, product, project, and/or software development life cycle environments.
• Experience developing business cases, evaluating cost/benefit and risk, and supporting investment or prioritization decisions.
• Master’s degree in business, information systems, technology, or a related field, a plus.
• Industry certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, SAFe, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent, a plus.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, analytics, SQL, or relational databases, a plus.

Pay range: $158,000 - $ 220,400 depending on experience and skill set 
Annual bonus target of 15% subject to terms and conditions of plan
