We're a fast-growing, remote-first AI startup building a German-language AI phone assistant used by thousands of small and medium-sized businesses across Europe. With a team of ~50 and serious seed-stage backing, we're scaling quickly and looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of product features that create measurable value for our customers.
You'll work at the intersection of engineering and product — forming hypotheses, running experiments, shipping fast, and iterating based on real customer insights. This role is a great fit if you care deeply about outcomes over output and love talking to customers as much as you love writing clean code.
Note: Native-level German proficiency is a hard requirement for this role. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Own features end-to-end — from idea and prototype through architecture, implementation, and production release.
Engage continuously with customers, partners, and sales teams to surface real pain points and translate them into engineering priorities.
Run product discovery by forming clear hypotheses and validating them with lightweight experiments before investing in large-scale builds.
Instrument your work and gather metrics relevant to your area to support data-driven decisions.
Build pragmatic, scalable software that balances immediate customer value with long-term maintainability.
Communicate asynchronously and prioritize shipping over excessive meetings.
Act with radical ownership — push initiatives forward independently without waiting for permission.
Work fully remotely (with CET overlap) or from the Vienna office as preferred.
Must-haves:
5+ years of fullstack engineering experience with end-to-end delivery responsibility for customer-facing web applications.
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and React.
Native-level German proficiency — essential for engaging with our German-language product and customer base.
Product mindset: you measure success by customer value, not lines of code.
Experience with product discovery — forming hypotheses and validating them quickly through experiments.
Track record of collecting and using metrics to inform product and engineering decisions.
Comfort collaborating directly with customers, partners, and sales to identify and prioritize pain points.
Strong CS fundamentals and sound judgment when trading off effort, quality, and speed.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience integrating LLMs (e.g., OpenAI) into production software applications.
Experience deploying AI-enabled services on Microsoft Azure within Europe.
Familiarity with GDPR and EU AI Act considerations for AI-powered services.
Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment.
This is a fully remote role open to candidates in Germany and Austria, with CET timezone overlap expected. You are also welcome to work from our Vienna, Austria office. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Salary: €80,000 – €120,000 per year, depending on experience.
Remote-first culture with flexible async communication.
High-ownership, low-bureaucracy environment — your work has direct, visible impact.
Work at the cutting edge of applied AI in a fast-scaling European tech company.
