Senior Full Stack Engineer, Revenue Engine

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Revenue Engine team, you will build the systems that power CookUnity’s promotional campaigns, payment processing, and other revenue-critical capabilities. This role is focused on developing end-to-end solutions, from system design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

You will work at the intersection of engineering and business impact, partnering closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Business Operations to create scalable, reliable systems that support growth and improve the customer experience. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, taking ownership of critical initiatives, and contributing to the evolution of a high-impact revenue platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end solutions for promotional campaigns, payment processing, and other revenue-related systems
• Develop scalable backend services and customer- or internal-facing applications that support core revenue operations
• Drive technical design and architecture decisions with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, maintainability, and performance
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, and BizOps to translate business goals and operational needs into robust technical solutions
• Improve system observability, resilience, and operational excellence across revenue-critical services
• Lead projects from discovery and technical planning through implementation, rollout, and post-launch optimization
• Contribute to high engineering standards through strong coding practices, code reviews, testing, documentation, and operational ownership
• Mentor engineers and help raise the team’s technical bar through thoughtful collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Identify opportunities to improve development efficiency, system quality, and long-term platform health through better tooling, automation, and architecture

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience building and maintaining production-grade backend systems in complex or high-growth environments
• Hands-on experience developing modern frontend applications, ideally with React and TypeScript
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, TypeScript, and SQL databases
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and event-driven systems
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end solutions, from requirements and design through implementation and production support
• Strong understanding of system reliability, scalability, observability, and performance best practices
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, break down complex problems, and drive execution in cross-functional environments
• Strong English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to a strong engineering culture
• Support the on-call rotation to help the business run 24/7

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in eCommerce, marketplace, fintech, or other transaction-heavy environments
• Experience building systems for promotions, pricing, incentives, payments, or other revenue-related domains
• Familiarity with orchestration and long-running workflow patterns, including tools such as Temporal
• Experience with GraphQL and modern frontend architecture patterns
