Senior Full Stack AI Engineer (Senior Consultant, Engineering & Technical Services)
At Fearless, we are seeking a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer as part of our Senior Consultant, Engineering and Technical Services career path to lead design and build of n-tier solutions. This role will actively modernize the federal platform by migrating legacy components to cloud-native AWS services while integrating Amazon Bedrock AI capabilities, modern application architectures, automated testing, CI/CD, and secure software engineering practices.
At Fearless, this Senior Consultant collaborates with cross functional teams to align the technical vision, implementation, and quality of software systems across development, reliability, testing, and operations. This role will possess the skills to be able to bridge business objectives with technical execution in software development, infrastructure, security, and testing at an advanced application level of proficiency. The Sr. Consultant role will work on projects that allow them to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable solutions while mentoring engineers, fostering collaboration, and aligning stakeholders with product and project goals.
Work Location
● This role operates largely in a remote capacity.
● Occasional travel to the customer location in Washington, DC may be required to support collaboration with federal stakeholders.
Fearless Your Responsibilities in this Role:
● Develop modern React applications that deliver intuitive user experiences for federal mission systems.
● Build backend services using C#/.NET and Python to support scalable, secure federal platform operations.
● Design and implement secure relational database solutions that ensure data integrity and compliance with federal standards.
● Integrate Amazon Bedrock AI services into federal applications to enable intelligent workflows and decision support.
● Engineer AWS-native cloud solutions that leverage managed services for reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
● Build CI/CD pipelines that automate testing, security scanning, and deployment across development and production environments.
● Perform automated testing to ensure application quality, security, and compliance with federal requirements.
● Diagnose and resolve production issues, implementing proactive monitoring and alerting strategies.
● Recommend migration strategies from legacy systems to AWS managed services, balancing technical debt reduction with operational continuity.
● Produce technical documentation that supports knowledge transfer, compliance audits, and long-term system maintainability.
● Support Agile delivery and sprint-based development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet evolving federal mission needs.

PROJECT SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
● Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, full stack development, or related technical roles.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience building solutions in DevSecOps environments with automated security controls.
● Experience working at or in support of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with knowledge of SEC business processes, systems, and regulatory mission.
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
● Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
● Proven experience building .NET solutions in enterprise or federal environments.
● Demonstrated experience building data pipelines using Python, SQL, and AWS services.
● Experience recommending and executing migration strategies from legacy systems to AWS managed services.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Certifications
● Experience supporting federal AI modernization initiatives or large-scale cloud transformation programs.
● AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
● Microsoft .NET Developer certification.
● AWS AI Practitioner certification.

The salary range for this position is:
Minimum Salary: $120,588
Salary Midpoint: $156,764
Maximum Salary: $195,955
Hiring Range for Role: $120,588 - $160,000
*This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance criteria.
