Senior Frontend Engineer (f/m/d)

Your mission

JTL is one of the leading providers of e-commerce software in the German-speaking region, with around 450 employees across the group and more than 50,000 customers from a wide range of industries. We develop scalable, flexible solutions for the online retail of the future, from ERP systems to shop and marketplace integrations.

As our product ecosystem continues to grow, we are investing in the foundations that enable frontend teams to build faster, more consistently, and at scale. For this reason, our Platform Architecture & Developer Productivity team is looking for a Senior Frontend Developer who will play a key role in sustainably strengthening frontend development at JTL.

In this role, you will support other frontend teams by defining standards and best practices, providing templates, and developing central libraries that make everyday development more productive.

In addition, you will act as an advisor to our frontend developers, help with the adoption of our guidelines, and contribute to ensuring a consistent, efficient, and modern frontend landscape at JTL.

Your Responsibilities 

• You develop standards, guidelines, and best practices for frontend development at JTL
• You create andmaintaintemplates, boilerplates, and libraries that help other teams work more productively and efficiently
• You support frontend teams in adopting and using these guidelines, templates, and tools
• You ensure a high-performance and scalable development environment using modern toolchains (Vite,turborepo,pnpm)
• You regularly evaluatenew technologies (e.g.,TanStackRouter,Jotai,TanStackQuery) and assess their value for our frontend landscape
• You support the bootstrapping of new frontend projects and ensure that our standards, best practices, and efficient toolchains are applied from the start

Your profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development
• Strongexpertisein React, TypeScript, and modern build tools (Vite,turborepo)
• Experience with design systems and component-based development (Storybook,TailwindCSS)
• Hands-on experience with modern state management libraries (Jotai)
• Strong understanding of API integration and data fetching withTanStackQuery
• Experience with routing solutions such asTanStackRouter
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright)
• Confident in using Git and collaborative workflows (pull requests, code reviews)
• Knowledge of performance optimization and accessibility in web applications
• Strong communication skills in German and English 

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation, particularly GitHub Actions
• Basic knowledge of cloud-native technologies and deployment platforms, including Kubernetes and Helm
