The Senior Event Manager will own the end-to-end planning and execution of internal offsites and manage various external event workstreams. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and developing scalable operational processes for a global events program.

About the company

Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.

Founded by folks from Goldman Sachs Digital Assets Team, we’re backed by some of the best investors in the world including Founders Fund, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global, and more. We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue growing the firm. We're fully remote, with team members across the U.S.

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly organized, proactive, and execution-driven Senior Event Manager (Contract-to-Full-Time) to join Ondo Finance. This position will initially begin as a full-time contract role, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time position based on performance, business needs, and mutual fit. This role will partner closely with the Marketing Events Lead to support the delivery of Ondo’s global event strategy.

Reporting to the Marketing Events Lead, this role will play a key part in executing Ondo’s global event strategy, managing internal offsites and supporting high-impact external events, including industry conferences, partner activations, executive gatherings, and institutional events.

You’ll be responsible for managing multiple event workstreams from planning through execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, vendors, and deliverables are organized and on track. We're looking for someone who can operate independently, anticipate needs, proactively communicate updates, and take full ownership of assigned projects.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment, has exceptional attention to detail, and enjoys building scalable processes that improve how events are planned and executed.

Target outcomes

  • Seamless delivery of internal offsites and external event activations, with high stakeholder satisfaction
  • Successful execution of Ondo’s global event strategy through reliable operational ownership and support
  • Consistent delivery of multiple concurrent event workstreams on time and within budget
  • Strong stakeholder confidence through proactive communication, accountability, and timely follow-through
  • High-quality attendee, speaker, and partner experiences across events
  • Scalable event operations supported by efficient processes, documentation, and technology

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end planning and execution of internal offsites including leadership, team, and company-wide, ensuring high-quality delivery
  • Manage assigned external event workstreams, including industry conferences, sponsorships, partner activations, VIP receptions, and institutional gatherings
  • Source venues, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with hotels, production agencies, AV providers, caterers, and other vendors
  • Develop and maintain event timelines, project trackers, budgets, production schedules, run of show, and logistics documentation
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are met
  • Proactively communicate project updates, identify potential risks or blockers, and recommend solutions before issues escalate
  • Oversee attendee registration, communications, travel coordination, accommodations, and overall guest experience
  • Manage event budgets, invoices, payment coordination, and post-event financial reconciliation
  • Coordinate speaker logistics, including onboarding, scheduling, travel, presentations, and onsite management
  • Manage sponsorship deliverables, branding requirements, and partner commitments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Design, GTM, Leadership, Legal, Finance, and other internal teams
  • Coordinate with external agencies and production partners to ensure seamless event execution
  • Maintain accurate, centralized event documentation, trackers, vendor information, and post-event reporting
  • Lead post-event evaluations, including stakeholder feedback, key learnings, and recommendations to improve future events
  • Develop and refine event playbooks, templates, workflows, and operational processes to support a growing global events program
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and AI to streamline event planning, coordination, and reporting
  • Support onsite execution for domestic and international events as needed

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in event management, production, or operations, with demonstrated ownership of complex corporate events
  • Proven experience independently managing events from initial planning through onsite execution
  • Strong background in venue sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, budgeting, and event production
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment, with the ability to make informed decisions independently and know when to escalate issues
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate challenges, and proactively resolve issues with minimal oversight
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear, timely updates and effectively manage stakeholder expectations
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines, following through on commitments, and maintaining accurate project documentation
  • Experience collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and event/project management tools
  • Interest in leveraging AI, automation, and technology to improve operational efficiency
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support onsite event execution
  • Based in PT, MT, CT, ET or APAC time zones

  • Experience producing executive-level, institutional, or high-touch VIP events
  • Experience in TradFi, fintech, crypto, or DeFi
  • Experience managing global events across North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM
  • Experience working with external production agencies and managing complex vendor relationships
  • Familiarity with event registration platforms, CRM systems, and event marketing tools
