Senior Engineering Project Manager - Connectivity

The Senior Engineering Project Manager owns design change projects end-to-end for one of Avicado's largest data center accounts — from scoping through design development, execution, and post-execution. You'll manage large project budgets, drive cross-functional alignment across site teams, project leads, and client vendors, and keep fast-moving design changes from stalling. You’ll join a high-performance team where ownership, responsiveness, and clear communication are what keep projects on track.

What you'll do…

• Design Change Management

• • Own design change projects end-to-end, from scoping through design development, execution, and post-execution

• • Serve as project lead on design changes, driving them from concept to completion

• Scope & Budget Ownership

• • Take ownership of project scope and manage it through the full project lifecycle

• • Manage large project budgets

• Cross-Functional Coordination

• • Bring cross-functional partners together and align them around a shared plan

• • Partner directly with site team management to keep projects on track

• • Work with client vendors downstream of design changes

• Procurement & Site Readiness

• • Manage material procurement

• • Ensure sites are ready and communicate readiness downstream

• Tooling & AI

• • Learn and adopt internal tooling systems quickly

• • Use AI tools effectively to support project execution and reporting

You should have

• Demonstrated ownership of project scope, from planning through execution

• Proven experience managing large, complex project budgets

• A strong track record driving design/change management projects end-to-end

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional partners, site teams, and project leads

• A self-starter with a high degree of responsiveness, who independently identifies priorities and takes action

• Comfort using AI tools and prompting effectively to improve how you work

• Ability to learn new tools and technical context quickly (deep data center, construction, or hardware background is not required)

• Willingness to travel up to 25% to client sites (California, Seattle)
